Acapulco Gold - Week 8 of Flower

Hey Guys!

I've been stalking rollitup for some time as a general resource - I figured I'd join, now that I'm growing! But more on that later.

Here's the situation - I'm heading out of town for a couple of weeks on business (12 days to be exact), but I have an Acapulco Gold in the tent that's starting to look close. My wife will be able to take care of it while I'm gone, but I'm not entirely confident in her ability to remember to check PH / Nutes after a long day at work, and growing/smoking isn't really her thing.

The Acapulco just finished week 7 of flower this Sunday (the 15th), and I will be leaving town the day that she finishes week 10. Based on the photos, would you:

A: Flush, harvest, and hang dry before leaving, with harvest occurring 13 days from now

B: Let it keep flowering while I'm out for a total flower time of around 12 weeks, but run the (somewhat slight) risk of having something bad happen while I'm out of town

Nevermind! No photos allowed yet! I'll throw those in after a few posts, apparently. Will bump at that time.

Trust me though, they look great... I've been told they look the greatest.

If it's a landrace strain it will probably go to 12 weeks easily. Just have your wife water. Treat the 2 weeks like a "flush" by giving no nutes, just water. You don't really even need to ph at this point unless your water is waaaaay off.

agree with Greg,, and your plants look awesome,, had my mouth watering
Nice! Thanks guys! It's a recirc hydro system on clay pebbles, so I'll just have her throw plain water in the reservoir while I'm out to taper off the nutes, then I can finish up with a full flush on my return.

Will definitely have to add some supports before leaving though, the supercropped colas are about ready to break off :hump:

Train her and let her take care of them while you're away, it's a god send for me as I travel a couple of days at a time regularly. GF's an expert at watering now, working on training her to trim but she never shows up for the training sessions - lol

Hahaha! Sounds like we're in a similar boat here ;) Sad that she won't trim, that's the best part! Maybe it's the smell thats irritating, if she's a non smoker? I still coax my wife into peeking into the tent (I have nobody else around to show off to), and I always say something like "Smell this here, isn't that super fruity?! See how much different this smells from the last one? Isn't that cool?!" response: "it smells like weed."

Great idea, watering service including two hours of trim! How to charge, by the hour or by the plant, and does one charge more to mix nutrients?
I could really use that come vacation time.

Lol, no she loves the smell, just has no interest in the trimming :( She is good at picking out the odd smell that I can't put my finger on and got her helping me with processing coco oil caps, can't complain, and no commission - lol
