The plan all along was to repeal. The 'replace' part was nothing but a sound bite.

But over the last several years, 20-30 million people started to like having health care.

And 3 senators had a conscience.

This was all about throwing people off to get money freed up for a tax cut that only the rich would truly benefit from.
Most middle class people already have an effective tax rate around 15%.
Trump's 15% across the board does nothing for those already paying it.

How stupid some people must be to believe Trump's bullshit.

Something similar just happened to the British Prime Minister, Theresa May. She was going to gut the NHS (National Health Service) and instead she got her ass handed to her in the recent snap election. It wasn't just about Brexit, after all.

It was because Corbyn offered everything that everyone wanted. Also Theresa May made the election about her personally, she thought she is Thatcher and misjudged woefully.

It wasn't about the NHS at all, both sides actually campaigned on giving money to the NHS.

Ever used it? Wonderful service, they'll treat ANYONE for free who arrives at one of their hospitals, British or not.
