AC unit versus DEHUMIDIFIER

If I need to drop the humidity in my grow tent would it make more sense to buy an air conditioning unit vs just a dehumidifier. Why would I just buy a dehumidifier when I could have a AC unit that will also dehumidify? Does anybody have any suggestions on this? Thank you

i don't use a tent, but my ac dehues just fine when lights are on and ac is going, when lights are off, my ac and dehue fight each other, it has to be that way as the dehu pumps heat so it makes the ac come on.

Some portable ac u it's have a seperate deheuy feature. I've never used mine, as the cold ac air drops my rh.

A/C. Most A/Cs by normal operation remove moisture from the air. Dehumidifiers are great but they can warm up the room a bit. The A/C will cool it down and reduce the humidity somewhat.

My old haier 71pint deheuy spit out 110* air when in deheuy mode. Kinda defeats the purpose of a controlled enviroment Ina sealed room trying to cool it only to be fighting a deheuy.

How much water do the ac units collect?

I might open the drain plug 1x a month. Little to no water comes out.
