ac question

i was looking at this a/c .......http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_04275050000P?vName=Appliances&cName=AirConditioners,Fans&Heaters&sName=Single Room&psid=FROOGLE01&sid=IDx20070921x00003a...........and i was wondering if you have to put this in a window? you cant just put it in a room on top of a chair? someone told me that they produce a lot of water

That ac has to be mounted in a window to vent out hot air from the back side of the ac.

it needs to have the back end of it outside. it will act like a dehumidifier and will drip water. and it will put out a lot of heat out the back.
an option for you would be a portable a/c. then you just need a 4" vent to the outside.

swamp fan maybe able to kool things off
