I just started my second grow about a month ago. I've got four beautiful sour diesel plants vegging nicely so far (all organic; fox farms ocean floor soil + bat guano + earthworm castings + coco, fox farms nutes). I'm using a 4'W X 5'L X 8'H closet environment. There are four 300 watt cfl's in there for veg, a 600 watt HPS for flowering. During veg my closet stays perfect temp-wise with the two fans I have in there, closet door open. When I flip over to the HPS lamp it obviously gets hella hot in there. I used a HUMUNGOUS portable AC I inherited from Mom for my last grow but I really feel it's overkill. My new rental house doesn't have the best electricity situation so I don't even think that huge-ass AC will run without blowing some fuses. Obviously I can't have that happen during flowering cycle.
Would a cooltube be a more efficient way to go? I'm assuming it would use less electricity and probably work great since the closet door can be kept open during the entire daily light cycle. Do any of you folks agree with this rationale? If so, which cooltubes do you guys/girls like? I would love some advice. Thanks in advance!
