AC Infinity Controller 67 help!

Hi all,

I have been running an S8 exhaust with an 8" XL filter on the controller 67. I realized that I needed filtered intake air and ordered an S6.

The problem is when I plug the s6 into the 2nd port they run at the same freaken speed... the filter and a 90° bend on the exhaust leave me with positive pressure...

I'm kind of shocked that none of their advertising mentions that you cannot control these separately. I really do not want to have to spend another $100 after buying the 67 too far in advance.

I thought the S series has a independent speed controller as well. Can you manually dial down the S6 and create a negative pressure?

That is what you would think right? As far as I have gleaned from the hour of scrounging the internet for an answer- not without using the little push button PMW controller that comes with the S series. And that defeats the purpose of the $50 intelligent controller I already bought..

Anyone? Buehler?

The controller should allow you to dial your speed down. If it doesn’t than it’s defective. You should be able to manually dial it down and create a negative pressure. If not reach out to ac infinity OR buy another controller. Good to go.

Funny enough, they just sent me a replacement for a defective unit this week.

Again, you should be able to, and their controller 69 is capable of independent control, but like some Bernstein bears shit as soon as I plug it in I read they cannot be independently controlled with the 67.

For some reason the picture didn't load before ^

I could use the manual controller, but the S8 is set to min 1 and max 6. Big difference in CRM. Im afraid the sy won't keep up when it ramps up.

Override them both and adjust the speeds as needed when needed. I think you’re over complicating it. Or get another smart controller to dial both in that way.

What was defective? And what didn't they send? I wasn't very impressed with their customer service.

I'm running two S8s right now. What's the question? did you set the min and max levels?

As for customer service, my fan had something get sucked into it and it broke the blades. AC asked no questions and already sent me one to replace it, should be here tomorrow.

The humidity probe. It was WILDLY off from 4 other readings in the same tent, and changed by a good 12% up or down.

The question is how do I set the two at different speeds. As my airflow is now, having both the s8 exhaust and s6 intake at the same speed gives me positive pressure. I need to be able to set the exhaust at min. 2 and intake at min 1.

I like positive pressure in the tent. My closet I like slight negative though so the light block isn't pushed away. The positive pressure gives me more room in the tent.

I don't have a carbon filter or care about smell though.

I mean, whilst I appreciate your approach, positive pressure is not what my intended outcome is. If that were the case I would have bought the cheapest fan I could find instead of something I thought would work with the existing equipment.

Then it's simple. Turn your exhaust fan higher than the intake. Do you have a filter for the intake?

Ok, if the goal is to have them both plugged into the same controller they will always be in the same setting. Alternatively, as @CaliRootz88 stated the only other option is to use the intake with the manual control. I have my main set to high 10 low 6 and the intake stays at 4.

That's what I was afraid of.

The only issue is that even at speed 6, the 8" makes SO MUCH NOISE. Plus anything over 2 and my humidity drops to like 40. It's only a 5x5, so even 6 is overkill.

I see three options. I'd try restricting the intake since the exhaust is more restricted than intake.

Reach out to customer service and ask for help with the 67 controll, maybe you'll get lucky and they will do somethung for you.

Buy a 69 control.

Be careful getting caught up with monitoring only humidity and temperature
You also need co2. I got a co2 monitor from @Inkbird and it works great, and has wifi too. I use it all around my place and it is a nice tool for making sure your co2 in the grow room isn't being depleted throughout your grow

Can you return the 8" supply fan swap for a 6"er?
