absinthe

Going to be buying some absinthe, I live in Canada and I'm trying to find some good high quality absinthe at a cheap price. My friend suggested this

http://www.absintheonline.com/acatalog/Jade_Nouvelle_Orl_ans_flask.html

However they don't ship to Canada and then this

http://www.absinthe-dealer.com/absinthe/swiss-absinthe/absinthe-duplais-balance.html

but the price came to $85 CAD with shipping and that doesn't even cover the insurance which is another $30 euros.

So what I originally found
http://www.originalabsinthe.com/absinthe-absinthe-original-bitter-spirit-p-58.html

seemed like the better deal. $100 CAD with shipping and its insured and looks like a pretty legit site, I can't find a bad comment about it. I know this is expensive, but its hard to find absinthe cheaper and have it shipped to Canada (in the province of Ontario), so I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction if they know of any places.

There's also ($160 is way too expensive though)

Would that really make a difference compared to the extra 65mg/kg of Thujone it has in the bottle?

fuck buying bottles, they're overpriced as hell most of the time.... I'd look for an "absinthe kit" and make your own... you can make the thujone and alcohol content tailor made to what you are personally looking for.

$100 is a fuckload of money to spend on a single bottle of alcohol. You'd be better off just going to your local packy and buying a liter of captain morgan for $20. I have had absinthe and it was really nothing special. It tasted overwhelmingly of licorice, so I definitly wouldn't recommened if you don't like the taste of licorice candy, and otherwise it just got me a good buzz but no hallucinations or anything like that.

Yeah I realize its really expensive, but this is a one time only thing. Personally myself I don't even drink at all, even when it comes to having a beer, I'd rather have water. My friend is also dieing to try this as well, and it has to be absinthe. Even if its nothing special being that its got the name absinthe we both just really want to try it once and see what it's all about with the added chemicals even if it's very similar to alcohol.

I'll give the make your own absinthe kit a look tmr morning. Thx.
