About to buy my upgrades...

About to upgrade my set up. Before I buy, i would like to get the all clear for my plan. make sure its doable.

Going to buy:
1.2m x 1.2m x 2m Grow Tent
600w HPS Cooltube

Already have:
400w HPS/MH Cooltube
carbon filter
fans for lights and carbon filter

So I'll have 1000w in the 1.2sqm tent, which i believe works out to around 64 watts per square foot. I will be growing innCanna Terra Pro, and using Canna Terra Vega and Flores. They will be flowering in 14 litre pots, and vegged for 4-5 weeks. I will be applying LST. With that veg, in my experience, i should be abke to get around 8-10 main colas on each plant. So with 9 plants, 4-5 week veg, 8-9 week flower, im hoping to be able to get 3 oz per plant.

I know its strain dependant, but Im running six strains at the moment from which Ill pick the highest yielding, so we can assume it will be at least a "decent" yielder. Vague, I know, but cmon, use you're imagination.

Assuming Im not a total gump grower, how does that sound?

It sounds pretty good, if you stack those cool tubes vertically and grow your plants around them it will be a pro setup. Grows of that style tend to get very close to a gram per watt or even more, so you could imagine you could get 1-3 lbs. if you do a typical grow I would assume you will get 10 oz-1.5 lb if done well.

i would consider going verticle,.but id have to do my research first as im not really familiar with it. i want to harvest every 3 months, or 4times a year. does verticle require longer veg and bigger plants? so you think 1.5oz max? I thoight .75 grams per watt seemed acheivable....hmmm. anyways thanks for the reply.

Your math does add up, but your lumens out of the 600 and 400 watt will not produce the same amount of lumens that a 1000 watts would produce.

Ah i see. hmmm. I was just thinking that although there is less lumens, Ill be able to get better coverage with the two bulbs, plus the smaller bulbs can be closer to the plant. Was hoping it would be roughly equivilent. Bugger.
