I dont know the strain. Seed was out of some hydro and germinated myself and growing outdoors in a 5 gallon bucket with bottom cut out and filled with Miracle grow plus with mulch on top of soil. Plant is only a little over knee high and the smell, oh my the smell.. but kinda need a little insight on about how much longer I'm looking at before harvest time.. tia..

Several weeks before it's done but are you bringing them in at night or just leaving them outdoors?

The bottom of the pot is cut out and I've dug a hole in the ground and put pot in it. Put Miracle grow at bottom of hole prior to putting pot in and surrounded the pot with Miracle grow. So, I'm not able to move it. Should I cover it or something? Or leave as is all the time?

Do you live in the states? There is a reason I ask...because if you do they are going to reveg

Okay that is what I thought. You probably had it out too early. You cant put a mature plant out too early (like in april or earlier) because it will start budding early...but as the days get longer it will reveg (which means growth will start coming out of the buds)
It will get some funky growth at first but then get normal growth later on.

So your plant wont finish budding right now. It will start rebudding this fall and finish probably anywhere between mid sept to dec depending on the strain.

So, nothing I have now as far as buds will be able to be harvested until Sept-dec? If that's the case, will current buds get bud rot?

No they shouldnt...they will stretch out. If anything the old buds will die off. It's a common new outdoors growers mistake. You should never put a plant outside that is mature unless the daylight is above 14.5 hours or this will happen.

I'm kinda not understanding "putting mature plants outside"..
I grew my plant from around 2" completely outside. After it reached around 2" I put in the shade for a week. After that I transplanted it into what it's in now. So, it's only been inside maybe a week and a half, give or take a few days. But yeah, it was early April when I first transplanted. Basically it's been outside its whole time other than the first 1 1/2-2 weeks.
And theres nothing I can do with current buds? ???
This being my 2nd grow (I've messed up alot and wasnt really trying until I saw I was getting a decent plant in size on my first) the 1st grow had much less buds and started the grow in August by February I was able to get about just over 3 grams of bud after curing (still learning on that too).
Plant was small due to using soil in yard among being in a pot etc. Tasted horrible but got me the high I like.. mind you I only smoke hydro.. I was pleased with the high but very harsh. I know I didnt cure correctly.

I just hate to think all those pretty buds are going to go to waste...

If you want it to finish then you have two options... you can build a light blocking tent to put over them every day, to make sure they get no more than 12 hours of light per day. Or you can bring them inside and finish them in a tent or room with lights.

Also, I have a plant I transplanted earlier this month in another location.
No pot. Dug a hole 3' deep and 4' in diameter. Mixed Miracle grow (about 80%)and my yard soil (about 20%) and filled up the hole and did the transplant same as the one in pics. At around 2" in height. I'm thinking (hoping) itll do much better than the other as far as height and bud producing.. is May too early of a transplant?

Once a plant is 4 to 6 weeks old from germination it becomes sexually mature (is ready to start budding)
Outdoors if they are outside too early (below 14.5 hours of daylight [before mid may-ish]) they will start budding.
As the days then get longer they will reveg then the days get shorter again and they will start budding again.

Unless like mentioned above you can put something over them that is totally light leak proof (12 hours on and 12 hours off) and they will finish

If not you have to ride it out til this fall.

Then that's what I'll do.. I dont want to lose what little I have. It's not a big plant but I really want to do the right thing and produce a good end product. If in fact I can get this down correctly I'd like to get a little more serious about it.
Thank you very much for your help and time.

Maybe ....it might do better. Depends on the light schedual outside at that time.

You will get lots and lots of new growth off that plant....and lots of buds come this fall. Growing is all about patience. If your hard up for weed I suggest buying some but I'd personally let her go. You will get a good yield this fall if you do. But it's your plant and your choice. Good luck

And ps theh wont go to waist. Theh will sprout many many many new shoots out of those buds that will give tons more buds at the end of the grow.
