??? about cfl flowering

Whats up people? So I have several grows under my belt, but ive always done them with my partner, who recently decided to steal all of our grow equptment (2x 1000w hps, ebb and flow setup, and an xpensive ass sqirrel cage fan), and leave town. LEaving me broke with no way to grow. So im back to the basics, growing in a small closet with cfls. I dont have any pictures (he stole my wifes digi camera as well), but ill explain my setup. Grw room is roughly 3'L x 3' W x 5' H. I have 3 plants, a mango, a purple passion, and some bc bud. They vegged just fine, a little lanky compared to hid growing but not bad. I am currently 9 days into 12/12, between 22 - 30 inches. Has a nice amount of pistils at the nodes. I have 6 2700k cfls overhead in a ghetto homemade reflector (works good) and a 2 cfl and 2 floro tube side lighting. Im just curious how cfl flowering differs from hid. other that the obvious yield and density differences. Will my flowering time be longer. With a setup like this how long should i expect before actuall buds start developing. And what is an average yield of a plant flowered under cfls. Mostly interested in top cola weight. Just a ballpark?

1 more thing. I dont think its a big deal, but 1 of my plants is growing a little funky. Every single branch on the plant is growing in pairs. Like a V at the stalk. Im not sure why, maybe someone here knows.

you never said what wattage your cfl's are, if they're the typical 23 watts you should get an ounce or two, cfls grows take longer to mature. the weirdness in your one plant is just genetics no relation to growing with cfls

Ya they are 23s. I just added 3 more 26w 2700k cfls today. I gave en some mollases when i watered. I have never used mollasses before so hope all goes well. They are 12 days into flowering today. Lots of budsites all over. The ones on the bottom are looking especially nice. Its weird cuz threre isnt too much light penetration down there, but they are looking about as good as the top cola which is like 3 inches from 6 cfls. So i dunno, but im proud of this gorw.Bout to take a smoke break so long for now.

not true at all the only way u can tell is when it shws sex in flower.. there is no other way. chances are it is genetics of the strain

CFL's do NOT take longer to mature. Dont know where that 1 came from. I have grown w/CFL's @ the exact same time that a friend grew clones from the same plant. The only difference was yield. My buds actually tasted better (I flushed more often), and they were both as dense, his were just BIGGER buds! Hell, the plants were all damn near the same size wen put in to flower. So, maturity time is NOT affected by CFL's.
However, ya need to have MANY lights, AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE!!!

i would have to say its genetics of the strain.
Like it was said before the v shape isnt a charactoristic of females. The only true way to tell is when they show there sex. They are true and blue females. I knew that before hand though cuz they are from clones not seeds. But thanks for the help anyway. I have pruned the plant but thats not it. I wish i had a picture to show u. Im not worried about it she is looking beautiful. A nice pretty sativa. Thanks for the help guys. I will try to get some pics up somehow. At lease before i harvest. They are exactly 2 weeks into flowering today so i have a little bit until then. Thanks for the help everybody.

Ya can give molasses w/every feeding, or every other. I stopped using it cause it attracted an excess of gnats. I spend money for REAL nutes now
Are you suggesting that i cant afford real nutes? If thats the case your mistaken. I follow the entire fox farm feeding schedule. I use mollases as a carbohydrate addative to feed the microorganisms that process the nutirents into something the plant can eat. Im not an idiot. Im just not too familiar with soil growing. So dont ASSUME. You will make an ASS out of U and yourself again!

Then buy carbo load, or liquid karma. I was assuming nothing. Now I know ya are a lil self-conscious, and therefore take things personally:grin:. I will be sure to not try to help ya again 8)
