A2L's 2011 Mega Patch!

For some reason im having trouble pasting in my pics since i started using firefox???? Ill get to the bottom of it someday hahaha.

So after getting all the soil and poop at there final destination it was time to twist up a DST style duchie before getting into the planting.

Lazy ass stoners hahaha.

After a nice joint of some bomb ass blueberry headband it was of to planting.

In each whole we mixed 1 bag of composted manure, a half bag of MG soil to the native native soil. We where also able to further enrich the soil in each hole with some composted cow shit which is laying all over the valley floor and is from last year so it should really be a good source of nutrients organically. The Mg soil has slow release ferts in it aswell but we used that soil sparingly only to amend the native soil which in this patch was almost all sand.

Mmmm poop hahahaha. Makes a good top dressing for the plants.

And just when i was going to go snap a few pics of the established plants in the various mini patches my freaking batteries petered out. So unfortunately i wont be able to show them off until mid next week. Those 40 have been in the ground now for a little over a week and are starting to take off like mad.

One thing i forgot to mention, on the first watering after planting we feed a dose of super thrive diluted in fresh spring water and it seems to give the gals a boost and helps get them roots macking. I also use ST when taking clones and i have seen a huge improvement in root development. This stuff works my friends.

That's all i got for now peeps. Ill still have another 35 plants in 3 gallon trash cans chilling outdoors that will be going in the dirty bottom patch in the next few weeks. Got to wait for the weeds to grow up and provide some cover before going to work in there. We also have another secret patch that will have another 30 on some land we where granted the ok to plant on. Those clones are still in dixie cups and are the latter batch of clones and have surpassed all in terms of growth and vigor already. They also where indoors up until a few days ago too so they didn't get the frost bite that some of these yins did. They did get tip burnt a bit but seem to be pulling through ok.

Will update with pics as work progresses :peace: A2L

Looking for forward to watching this progress. Keep in mind that if you toss a fish in every hole, you will very likely have more issues with upturned holes and dead plants unless you get out there quick enough. I just had some coons dig up a few plants simply because I mixed in blood and bone meal. Good luck and post them pics soon !
Yeah i hear ya OG. I have abandoned that idea for that very reason. And the fact that i got skunked fishing and have no fish to put in the holes. However i am going to try it some day maybe on my next indoor.

when using fish. you have to put the fish deep. like 18 inchs. its very rich and will burn your plants if its shallow and i always put them in the ground first in the spring at least two weeks before. also placing them on the sides helps like a foot away from the plant that way if they get dug your plant has a chance. also a small fish is more then enough. you dont need anything huge.

Looks like a serious operation A2L,ill be following this 1,i'm addicted to guerilla growing (mine & others).Good luck brother.
Thanks BB lol it is an addictive sport :)

After hearing this song really power fried i finally came to the conclusion that dude is singing about his plants hahah. Or maybe im just a shot fucker hahaha. The latter is probably true:bigjoint:

So today me and grunt went on a mission to check up on the fesh planted gals but soon as we got there the rain came down like pouring piss out of a boot. Well not much can be done about the weather and we cannot get close to the location at all in rainy conditions lest we walk 3miles and i dont need the exercise that bad  sos the patch visit will have to wait. I got a pretty good feeling all is well down there though we shall soon see.

Whilst on our mission me and grunt stopped in on a fellow guerilla grower we know to talk some shit and wound up smoking up a shit load of hash he made, shit had me rolling giggly on the floor lol, I don't know why that is but hash always gets me all giggly. It was great fun hehehe.

Cant get to frazzled just yet still got some work to do. Me and grunt made our way to the outdoor veg spot where i have 35 of my best looking plants chillin in 3 gallon pots waiting for the bush to grow up and provide some cover. With these wild swings in the temps this season things are off to a slow start all over. However these ladies are finally starting to show some vigor and growth and I'm relieved to see that after the frost shock. My poor Grape Ape mother got frost bit so bad she had to be giving a proper burial. :-(. I thought that was the end of the GA for this season but i seem to have made some clones from her and found them today chilling among the big 35. I thought i had only Timewarp and Romulan in that mix but as it turns out I created a variety patch of : Timewarp Bertha pheno, Romulan Joe's, Hashberry, Grape Ape, Cali O, Morning Glory, Heri blue diesel, Heri, Cheeseberry Haze, & Maui Skunk. God I'm glad i think even when I'm not thinking hehehe:blsmoke:

Checking over the ladies they are all approx 18" tall and they are just really starting to get there mack on since repotting to the 3 gal. The Maui Skunk is one stinky lil bitch already and she is the smallest of the 35 in this lot. Im really excited to see if she will finish in this climate, keeping me fingies crossed.

Looking real closely at the ladies I've noticed tiny red spider like bugs crawling about the leaves and stems. They don't appear to be spider mites and they don't seem to be doing any damage but to be safe i sprayed the undersides of the leaves with an organic pesticide. Hopefully with the rains and the spray they will peel the fuck out and find something else to chill on. ( will do some research and report my findings on this pest )

Overall the variety patch plants are doing really well. I did not bring along the camera this trip only because i forgot it:wall: Not really to much to show off at this point anyways.

This weekend Me grunt and dingaling will be going out to help plant some TW pheno 2,3 at my friends patch. So loads more hole digging shit hauling and frolicking in the bush:bigjoint:

Ill be glad when all the planting is done for the season, me poor blistered dick beaters are killing me hahaha. Until next time peeps. :peace: A2L

having cold weather issues out here in so cal too. im interested too see how your plants will do with natural fence barriers. looking good A2L.

Thanks Seedless. This is my most proactive attempt at a grow of my own yet so im hoping for some good results. Being proactive about shit is a must if you want the bomb diggity. Haven't ever seen a bountiful crop from a "plant-forget-harvest" Im sure you know what i mean old buddy. ;) A2L

plant-forget-harvest.....dont we wish. I put alot of elbow grease into my op this year, but you must have put a few 5 gallon buckets worth into yours already....and a few gallons of gas too.

Hahahah you ain't shittin SS Im still soar as a bitch from the last planting haha. And my poor wallet it is wearing skint. Gas sure ain't getting any cheaper either sheesh. Fkn speculators :finger:

Well peeps the Mega Patch is full to the gills  Me and my boys went out today and put in another 40 plants. All Timewarp pheno's 2&3. These clones have been indoors chilling for most of the shit weather we have seen this way so they where quite a bit bigger and healthier than the previous lot that endured the frost.

Even though they did get stunted from the wet cold weather (the previous lot) they are all starting to grow and are all green and happy :) So that brings this patch to its max capacity and believe me you we we got her loaded with dank ;)

I know everybody wants to see some pics and i do promise to get some real soon. I prefer to be smart about what we the crew are doing. Now that all the ladies are in there permanent homes for the season i can stroll along with me camera one of these days and get some shots. That way if some bubba stops me in my tracks I'm am not caught red handed IE proof of ownership and possesion. It will be safe for me to take some pics. Hell nothing illegal about photographing nature haha.

It rained on us the whole time we where out in the bush today and im so very happy to be dry and stoned now hehehe.

Now for the 5th time ive checked up on the girls in this patch only 2 TWO plants have become victim to the animals pawing in the holes. Yesterdays visit revealed that the critters have been doing some more exploring in the disturbed soil. However out of all the holes in this patch which at this point is 80 only one plant got trampled next to the stake. It is not dead but the deer or whatever topped her down to 2 nodes. Shes going to make it me thinks.

We did do a small scale experiment in this patch with 7 plants that we had leftover from a planting session that we did not have large hole already dug for. My homie Dingaling seems to think that we could keep them in the ground just as effectively as the 2' X 2' holes stacked. Only his idea was to only dig a hole large enough for the clone from a dixie cup to fit in, stake it and tie the clone to the stake. WELL folks every single one of those 7 plants vanished from those holes. The animals can hoan right in on the location of ground disturbance and that is where they tend to dig looking for a meal.

So i won that bet hehehe. My buddy digaling was not so salty about digging all them proper 2' holes now. IT IS NOT a wasted effort and i tell you why. The bigger your holes diameter the better. Its not so much how deep you go as is important how wide you trench up the soil. A clone and stake will only occupy maybe a square inch of that area and that leaves the animals alot of room to explore the hole without zoning dead onto your plant. Now its not 100% effective but it has so far for this humble grower been 98% effective at keeping them girls firmly in there place even though the critters are still fucking with the soil in the hole. What i have noticed is they tend to dig small holes 6" deep from the sturdy unturned earth around the perimeter of the holes. They just dont want to walk on that soft dirt and thank jah for that hehehe.

I always wondered why the farmers fields where never ravaged by the critters and i do believe that its just a futal effort on the animals part to roam a field of dirt pawing about for nothing. Its all the same concept just on a micro scale but it seems to be the cats ass.

Slowly but surely we 3 lazy pot heads are getting a gang of ladies out. Still alot of work to be done yet but were on the down side now.

Weve gotten a good location to set up my indoor equipment to now so we will likely get a vertical sog going here real soon.

That's all i have for now peeps, Stay tuned though things are going to get real exciting. :peace: TGIF A2L
