A unique question --ive searched for hours

This is my problem- I'm building my first grow room as an insulated outdoor shed. It's going to be separated into a veg room and flower room, and some extra space to dry. My problem comes in with the ventilation. I plan to use a bathroom fan to exhaust out of the roof (moves about 80CFM, which is more than enough for me), but I am going to need intake vents-----

How will I stop light from coming in where air can? (I dont want either the 12 hour flower cycle or the 18 hr veg cycle interrupted)

The only solutions I can think of are a type of very fine green mesh, a small fan and some cardboard frames to bend the air's path so light does not come in, or a vent that I can rig to close (shutters), when the lights go off.

I was just hoping to get some other ideas, some things I havent thought of--Thanks in advance :)

They sell extensions for those too so no light will get in.

cut out a box on the bottom and side. the side should be the size of ur intake fan. attach it to the wall over ur fan so the light is deflected in the box and doesn't reach the grow room. paint the inside of the box black to absorb the lite better. i find that the room does not hav 2 be 100% light proof, just as long as there r a only a few leaks n it doesn't shine on the plants, it'll be fine.
 
Light can't bend around 90 degree angles... 90 degree PVC plastic elbow painted black on the inside is a quick and easy light trap
 
I like the redirection idea with the boxes and PVC, however this is simply a passive vent---
the odd angles would make it hard for air to flow

With the bill for the grow room estimated at around $600 I need to save wherever possible. Any other ideas? (And how do you like the shutter closing? :) )
 
i did this

air inlet to the right of the door.

The dryer tube is attached to the inside of the inlet. On the othe end is a cheap AC fan , those little black or silver one i have a lot. The fan is on the 12/12 timer and only runs when the lights are on.

i also painted the inside of the hose flat black.

Ok, thanks for all the replies. I guess I am going to have to invest in a small fan for my intake and do some tubing or redirection work.
