A thought for next season.. help please?

Ok so.. this years grow was fun and now im already anticipating next years and want to get off started a little early. What's the best soil mix in your guys' opinions? Anyways.. could I dig a whole in middle december and just place the seeds in the soil without watering and cover with a piece of glass or clear plastic, and then water when January comes around.. so they would come out of the ground budding and be finished around april then snip those buds and let the plants veg again, and then reflower? Would this work?!?!?!? :O
