A Newbie Question...Just for the Sake of Curiosity

hey there, ive never really ventured out doors too much but i was wondering, if you start your plants indoors sayyyyyy april, veg for a little and then start the flowering cycle around june and then move them out doors before the natural light cycle is short enough for them to naturally flower, what happens?

again this is for the sake of satisfying my curiosity

if the hours are to long it will go back to veg and when time shortens up it will go to flower
