a little help people....soil 2 hydroton

right here we go...ive been waitin on my clones from a mate for about 2weeks now and they arrived today IN SOIL....my set up is a wilma 4pot drip..so i was told to remove as much soil as possible in room temp ph'd water, so i did this but i could'nt remove all the soil due to root mass, so i planted them in the hydroton with a bit of soil, so my question is..will my babies be ok........pics to come....(btw they are strawberry cough)

I would have cloned it rather than sticking dirty soil in any of my hydro setups, but since you already have I would make sure it don't fuck your PH or clog your lines/pumps/etc. If it's too fucked you could drain it and clean it out and the cut out all the roots with dirt in it. I recently cut off 90% of the roots off of about a dozen plants and they only stunted for a week until the roots started growing again.

nice one LuciferX..to be fair there aint alot of dirt, but i was scared of cutting any roots off as this is my first hydro. hopefully i will be ok i will cheak ph in the morning...once again thanks

well i put them in at 6pm and one of the leafs was touching the hydro now its 8:45 and it has lifted itself off so fingers crossed......we will see what the night brings im going to leave on 24/0 for the first night then switch to 18/6
