Take clones before you know what sex they are. and put them in the flowering room. Then the clones will sex and you'll knnow what plant to make a mother!

Why would you want to clone an unkown quantity, you are better of waiting till first signs of flowering, then you can revert the mother back to veg and you dont waste time growing possible male clones.

Just figured clone one from each plant then figure out the sex. A little extra veg (in wich case plant mayproduce preflowers) and then you don't have to wait until the plant harvests b/c you got smoke from the clone.
thats jum IMO. Plus in essence your almost doing the same thing. If you take the clones early enough you should know what sex the plants are *by the clones* before the others are ready for flowering thus actually saving you the step of "reverting" the mother back to veg.

definitely cut clones and determine sex that way, you dont want to put the actual mother plant through the stress of swithcing from veg to flower back to veg.

The stress is so minimal when all you are doing is waiting for preflower signs, then re-vegging. But i can see both sides...........:joint:

My personal experience from both cloning during flowering and reverting a flowering plant to a vegging mother have been very difficult. The plants are not as healthy and the clones from flower really stink. This isnt about what can be done, its what is the most effective way to determine sex.

Take 1 clone (or however many you feel confident with making it) from each vegging plant and root em. This will take a week or two but you can then flower the rooted clone and determine the sex of the mother. Once I do that I normally toss the flowering clones so im not wasting electricty flowering em. No stress no stems no sticks!

Grow on
