A little friendly competition? Join my 2012 grow off!!

Anybody interested? I didn't see any recent threads like this so I made one myself. You don't necessarily have to be starting right now, just as long as you're planning on vegging for a least a couple more weeks, feel free to join in! Hopefully this will continue throughout the year, so if you just found this thread and it's already been a while since we've started, just post your progress and you're welcome to join in, too! Everyone's welcome; DWC, Soil, NFT, Aeroponics, LED, HPS, Plasma, Scrog, 1000w, 400w etc.. The more variety the better, but please disclose what strain, nutes, lighting, media, and techniques you've used.

I'll start with my baby Northern Lights x Blueberry. She's a week old. I think I'll name her Serenity. She's an autoflowering strain (my first), so I definitely don't think she'll be much of a competitor, but we'll see what happens. Right now she's vegging under a little 23w flourescent bulb and I think I'm going to transplant her into soil. She's just in a little closet and I have yet to decide what nutes or lighting I will use. Can't wait to see the competition!!

So what's the competition? Rules, etc.

I like it. Ill join in on the comp! I'm a little over a week into veg. I have 4 unknown (free seeds from amsterdam seeds) currently growing. I'm using a 400 watt mh for veg and ill switch to hps once they're ready. I'm using ffof and they're in 8" pots. Other than the obvious (pictures you post have to be genuine and from plants you grew) I don't think we need any rules. I think everyone should just do their best and try to raise the prettiest, healthiest ladies possible. I would personally love to see many different styles, techniques, and strains. The more the better, imo. After we have more contestants, I'll try to establish what would be a suitable prize and if there's any consensus on guidelines that need to be set.

I think its a cool idea just to see everyones plants and styles like you said. But gathering em all into this post will deffinately bring in that friendly competition of you seeing yourself doing better or worse than someone. Should also offer people a good chance to get some advice. Let the games begin!

This is day 1. from Jan. 25th 11. 5 seeds cracked and planted 83.4 F using M.G. Seedling starter pre nute 1-5-1. there are 3 5000k 1200lumen CFL's ]

Ten Days Later the 4 that made it. No change in other info

Cool, sounds fun. I got some clones I just put into soil like 1 week ago. Think I will choose my Jock Horror for this since it is my favorite of my strains right now. Post pics when I get a chance.

im in, ive got a couple of dinafem critical jack and a greenhouse w rhino that are acouple of weeks old, ill throw pics up tomorrow.

I am game, I have one pineapple kush I am about to clone after my harvest next week, and another unknown sativa. I am going to be using some cfls for veg. Post pics sometime this next week when I start to clone. I am using a dwc system.

Welcome, everyone! I've been doing some thinking and I've decided that I will order the cannabis seed of their choice from http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/ and have it sent to whichever address they choose. If that's not something they would be interested in, they can choose a cannabis-oriented shirt <$25 before shipping from whatever website they want and I'll pay to have it shipped wherever. P.S. In order to establish authenticity, everyone that wishes to compete must put a piece of paper with the date on it in one of the photos somewhere at some point late in flowering. Preferably a wider shot of the set-up. Not all the photos, just one somewhere along the way that you think validates your shit. It's not really necessary until we get closer to harvest so don't worry about it now, I just thought I'd make it known since it's pretty much the only stipulation.

I moved Serenity into her permanent home last night - She's in like a 4 gallon bucket with Fox Farm's Ocean Forest (I put about 2" of an 85/15 perlite/soil mix around the peat plug to avoid burning her) mixed with an additional 20% perlite for better drainage and a pinch of Advanced Nutrient's Piranha in the hole I made for the plug. I'm also running a CO2 booster bucket on low with the output coming down on top of her. I watered her with RO water @ 5.8 ph, but then I got to thinking and I was wondering if I should have used tap water and whether or not the PH differs from hydro to soil. Any soil growers in here know the answer to these questions? My tap is about 300ppm.

there are now 8 CFL'S in here 4 5000k and 4 2700k total lumen output of 11200. I am going to be adding 4 more 5000k bulbs in the next day or two. bringing the total up to 16000 i want more blue than red in here as my flower room is a 400w air cooled hps sun master with a horlux bulb. when i transplant i will be placing them in fox farm light warrior and feeding the tera flora nute trial pack.
