A little advice for a budget grow??

:confused:i dunno too much bout growin,but got a plant bout a foot tall (midgrade seed), and 2 23w 6500k bulbs on it at the time..also have 2 20watt bulbs not in use..could i combine all four lights to flower the one plant or would that not b ok??

yeah dude, you can never have too much light

just watch the heat, but this shouldn't be much of a problem with CFL's

More light is always better, unless you use the wrong light. Make sure the color temp is 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower, for best results. :bigjoint:

what wattage cfl bulbs are 2700k?? do they differ from the 23watt 6500k daylight bulbs that im using?? so get rid of the 6500k when flowering??j/w i dont want it to be shitty bud u kno?? i think the 20watt bulbs i have are cool natural lights too jus like the 23watt..what do i do??i have like 10 bucks to spare for more bulbs!!!

For now just save your money. The couple bulbs you are already using, as long as they are 6500k color temp, will be fine. As the plant gets bigger, more of them would be helpful.

The color temperature and wattage are unrelated. Wattage just determines how much electricity the bulb uses. The higher the wattage, the more light the bulb puts out, thus the more the plant will like it.

When you switch to flower, go with the BIGGEST WATTAGE 2700k bulbs you can find/afford. Some people use the 6500k bulbs for flowering...how benificial that might be for the plant, I don't know.
