A Laugh For The Libs ...

You know that Oswald was no expert marksman, and still today, the best sharpshooters in the world are still unable to replicate that shot. They found bullet damage on different parts of the concrete around the limo. There were probably 5-6 people aiming at Kennedy.
Thats an easy shot, snipers take shots well over 1000 meters, I can easly take a 500 meter head shot with iron site...........its also noted that Oswald was trained to shoot by the U.S. Marines, I heard their not bad at marksmanship.

Bahahahaha. That's more than a 1/4 mile. You couldn't even hit a barn door with an Iron sight at that range. You'd need at least a 3x9 scope. Who do you think you're kidding. I'm pretty proficient with long guns and I know damn well you'd need a scope to hit any thing smaller than a whole person, a deer, or a frikin barn door at that range with Iron sights, and even at that you'd have to be lucky.

(sorry I mispoke I ment YARDS I was embelishing my combat history kinda like Hillary and sniper fire lol) I don't know about the army dogs, but the marine corps qualifies at 200, 300, and 500 yards with a standard M-16 no optics, I would rountinly shoot 9 out of 10 in the prone from 500 yards. I think Oswald and myself had the same basic training..........the shot that killed Kennedy was only 260 feet which is less 100 yards with telescopic scope

your also talking about military grade rifles...Oswald used a carcano, a $32 mail order rifle. I have been in the school book depository and looked out the window where the shots were fired and my question is, how did Oswald take the shots, hide the gun on the other side of the biulding and run down 6 flights of stairs? when the cops saw him 3-4 minutes afterwards he wasn't breather hard or in distress of any kind....???

Bill Clinton Sells/Gives Secrets to China

Clinton, a liberal of the most high status, would sell his soul, if he actually had one, to any one that would help him win elections: enter the chineses. Slick Willy did anything to stay in power.

Now he goes around the world giving lectures on how America is the problem in world conflicts. Bill is looking for a lagacy other than the one he already has. It's not working.

The article snippet below is confirmation of his traitorous behavior.

- - But the U.S. is certainly not without grievous fault maxima culpa for the classically inclined. This is illustrated by our own Clinton-approved sales of missile and satellite technology to the Chinese as the ever-vigilant David Horowitz explains (24):

Thanks to the Cox Report, we now know that the seven years of the Clinton presidency have coincided with the most massive breach of military security in American history.

As a result of the calculated degrading of security controls at America's nuclear laboratories, the Chinese communists have been able to steal the designs of our arsenal of nuclear weapons, including our most advanced warheads.

As a result of the 1993 Clinton decision to terminate the COCOM security controls that denied sensitive technologies to nuclear proliferators and potential adversary powers, the Chinese communists have been given the secrets of our intercontinental ballistic missile systems, along with previously restricted computer hardware.

This allows them for the first time to target cities in the United States.

Thanks Bill Clinton - America's favorite liberal.

And now, after I have given you some facts, you want to attack Bush?

Are you now saying that yes indeed, Clinton sold our military secrets to China for contributions?

Why the Bush red herring, Med? :blsmoke:

Really? The WHOLE Arab world? That's awfully boastful!

The Arabs hated us long before he took office and went tilting at windmills in Iraq. I hate the Iraq war and I think it was a bad idea to go ... but that alone didn't make the Arabs hate the USA.

There's a looooong history of bad blood between us and our Islamic friends. Our alliance with the Jews pisses them off more than ANYTHING Bush has ever done or ever will do.

I seem to remember that it was 500 meter silhouettes that were like 1/5th of the front blade of the peep sights on the M-14 and they were easy to hit. With the M-16 I don't remember ever shooting at that range or not targets at least.

Wanna Bet. I'll go with you to a shooting range, you bring your best open sight gun and we'll put a cantalope at 500 yards, 1500 ft., hell I'll even allow a fair sized watermellon. I'll give you 10 shots and bet you a thousand bucks you can't hit it. A 1/4 mile is 1350 ft, have you been to a 1/4 mile drag race lately, add 150 ft onto that distance and try and imagine hitting a watermellon with open sights, NFW. BTW, a target 1/5 the width of the front blade would be real hard to hit. I fired 247 out of a possible 250, the highest score in my batallion with an M-14. a beautiful weapon. That means I got 3 outside the bulls-eye in the 4 ring.

Hey Med ...

How about commenting on Clinton selling our military secrets to China? Or ... after chastising me for bringing it up ... do you just have nothing to say and are trying to avoid the issue? :blsmoke:

The marine corps quals at 500 yards and they did that back in the 60's too, I just got out 3 years ago, I also was a marksmanship instructor so I have spent many hot days out at the range, bootcampers can shoot at 500yards!. Dude your totally wrong on this. and you shot that well in the 60's you should be able to shoot 500 yards that well too, BTW the max effective range of M-16 on a point target is 550 meters and the max on a an area target is 800 meters, and the blade on the front sight is about the same with as 500 yrd target .....................and PS so Oswald shot was still impossible with scoped rifle at less than a 100 yards let me say it again 100 yards

I don't think you could out shoot me with a rifle or a handgun, as i'm very good with eather. I have 2 BARs in 30-06 that will shoot close to an MOA a few bolts that will shoot sub MOAs and a super match M1A that will shoot sub MOAs, and the reason that I have the M1A is because of the M14s that I shot in training.
Marines had the x rings bulls-eyes, in the army there was no such thing when I was in. As I stated we shot silhuettes the close up were head & shoulder the long range were about 2ft. by 4 1/2ft. I could be wrong about meters it could have been yards but I don'tthink so as I never thuoght of meters intill the army. Maps were in 10 meter grids as were most things that I can remember. I qualifyed every time as expert with the M14, M79, M60 and the LAW, the only weapon that didn't was the 1911-45 and the slide was so loose that it would rattle and that was as a sharpshooter.
Med I have read what you have said of your weapons and you seem to be mostly correct as for as you go BUT I think you are a long way from an expert in the feild.

natrone23
I have wandered for a long time if the marines are the same as the army the top is expert then sharpshooter and the lowest is marksman, is this the same?

The manlicker carcano was a military rifle. I also seem to remember that Oswalds longest shot was less than 80 yards.
