Any landrace sativa should do fine, just search forr “strain X grow information” before you commit. Do your research. Do lots of it too because there’s lots of conflicting information, remember most of the authors were probably baked lol

I would say chocolate thai but kind of a unicorn ( real one ) … Malawi ( i got from seeds of africa ) long running sativa would make another good big ass outdoor girl.

Super Skunk has worked great for me this year, and we're in the same climate zone.

I'd grow some giant ACE Malawi plants.

They're descriptions of their strains are highly accurate.

"After years of hard work and intense selections with sativas from all around the world, we can confirm that Malawi is the most powerful and psychedelic landrace sativa we know of.

Its dense flowers of enormous trichomes compete with the most powerful sativa/indica and indica hybrids on the market in reference to their size and cannabinoids concentration.

The potency of its flowers is simply devastating, and it is especially recommended for experienced users that seek extreme sativa effects without renounce to an abundant harvest.

DO NOT mix it with alcohol and DO NOT use any dangerous machinery under its effect."

I command thee to grow ACE Malawi

Yeah Malawi gold for me went 15/16 weeks. Hard hitting cerebral - just a long grow tho.

Or can I get them beans from a state side distributor?

Seeds of Africa has Malawi Gold but it's not Ace's Malawi, which they have worked to its current state for many years. I don't know of anyone in the US distributing Ace seeds. True North in Canada sells them, but I usually get their more common strains from Attitude. Mandala is a great place to order from because you can request anything in the Ace catalog and they'll get it for you, but they are only open for part of the year, I think. I would definitely get the top Ace strains in your situation, Malawi and Panama. Those come in fems too, if that's important to you. If you're okay with regs, I'd also look into Honduras and New Caledonia. Good luck!!

WOW, SOA, seems to be a good site for hard to find strains. Does any one here have experience with ordering from them in the US?

The difference between Seeds of Africa and Ace is that Ace has worked to improve its landrace stock, whereas SOA is much more variable in quality. I'd choose ACE any day, you know you will get potent genes. I've grown plants from both places.

I haven't ordered directly from them but got mine stash from Sensible Seeds which is based in the UK. They carry thousands of strains from hundreds of breeders. Stateside you're offerings are limited to mostly polyhybrids. Many of which originated using ACE genetics.

Currently growing Ace Seeds Malawi in a tent grow. Only been flowering for a week but the stretch has been something else. Doesn’t seem like much but I just kept tucking the limbs under the SCROG netting this week and might need to go another week of tucking before I let her go. I can’t wait to try her and would love to give her a grow outside. . . . if I weren’t in Southern Ontario. Bought a few more strains from Ace Seeds courtesy of The Vault with no issues. Better selection then what I could find on True North site.

It is :D I would say she is roughly 4.5 x 3 feet at the moment. She started with 7 other plants in another tent, but sister didn’t need her‘s at the time for her outdoor Veggies. So cleaned her up, bought and exhaust and moved her and Lennon (Jack Herer x Pure Haze from Pyramid Seeds) Since they both have a long flowering period of 11+ weeks. Plus I wanted to see if I could grow myself a monster plant to hopefully brag about to friends/co-workers:hump:

Ive got a Malawi girl that's nearly 20 weeks in flower, still got many pistils sticking straight up and no amber trichs. Im getting very antsy to chop.
And I assume growing indoors?
So when you have a strain that takes so long to mature, how is it in nature, it doesn't die under the daylight to nighttime hours?
I mean to ask. Doesn't the plant mature accordingly to it's environment?
So can't the plant be tricked/forced to mature indoors by manipulation of it's environment?
20 weeks is a long time!!!!!
