A funny story

I could not pass up a chance to tell a funny story on myself. I spent a month meticulously building a really cool grow cabinet. Yes, I did exactly what you are thinking a newbie would do... I spent too much and over built the shit out of it. : ) I have more dollars in lighting in my dresser drawers than I have in my cabinet... I just bought too much shit! LoLol

Just when I thought the hard part was over, I started trying to actually use this cabinet... Lets just say I now know at least 14 new ways NOT to grow a plant. I have made every mistake you can imagine. But... I do have one little baby now trying desperately to hang in there with me. If this baby makes it, it will be the most expensive bowl I ever smoked... I hope it is good! :) either way, I am sure I will love every puff.

Wish me luck!
Just for me

PS Ph has been kicking my ass, but I think I finally have all the light blocked from the water.

Then it seems to me algae was your problem, not pH. The algae will affect more than just the pH alone. One thing is that they will consume the nutrients in the water for their own photosynthesis reactions while they consume the dissolved oxygen in the water, keeping it from your plant's roots. The algae can also be a food source for more harmful pests that will attack your plant's root system.
