a few q's

hey im about 2-3 weeks into my first grow and i have a few questions, 1. do i NEED fertilizer? and if i do, when are the most important times to use it? and 2. how tall or how long should i have the plants growing before i start them on the budding cycle? thanks

Are you using soil or hydro? Flood and drain or aero?In hydro aero nutes are used from day 1 in your system. In soil what kind of soil did you buy? organice, nutes already in it? things to remember about when to flower is that an indica will at least double its height when it goes into flower so a 12 inch plant will finish at leats 24 inches maybe taller and a sativa will triple to quadruple in height so a 20 inch plants will be 60-80 inches tall at flowewr finish.

im planting cheap bag seed sprouts in potting soil (miracle grow mix) in small pots and just watering it every other day or so when it needs it, so you're saying that it doesn't really matter when i start the budding cycle, just to remember that it will still grow up to twice as large before its over? thanks

ya you can flower at any time but it all depends on what u have and what is your expectations..so what is the answer to them questions and Ill try and help

im under 2 fluro tubes, both cool right now until i can get a warm

If growing from seed in soil you have to make sure the plant is mature before flowering. If its a from clone you can go right to flower when it shows roots. When using miracl grow only use te miracle grow moisture control soil. The other vary and usually cause burns or nute issues. Using the moisture control just add water for first 3 months you can add additives during flower just be careful.From seed if I remeber right you can start to flower at 8 nodes is considered mature.The hieghts just let you pre plan.Some people think they can veg to 3 feet in a 5oot are then go to flower and thats just not enough height

You will wanna get into 3-5 gallon pots and then add lot more light. I use 4 foot florescent shop lights to start clones and new seedling .Transplant before flowering and make sure to add alloootttt more light soon

i plan on getting a few cfls to add to my two 2 foot tubes when i can get around to it, but i am pretty busy. Is having all fluorescent lights good, or should i have something else too?

You sure? When I flower my indicas growth stops at flowering and stays at the same height throughout the whole flowering cycle.
