A few lighting questions?

OK so my 400 MH came in the mail a long with a few other goodies, and my plants are about 9 days old and have been under soft white CFLs. I'm wanting to move them under the MH to keep them from stretching anymore, but I don't want to put them under it too soon. Will these 9 days old seedlings be ok under the MH, and if so how far away from the plants should the light be?

Also should I wait for the seedlings to adapt to the MH light before I transplant from their 12oz cups to 1 gal pots?

I had my plants in 16oz cupz for two weeks b4 needing to transplant.
But i use my 400watt hps for the entire grow, just keep it at least a foot
away from the plant. If it burns your hand it will probably burn the plant.

Ok I'll put em under the MH tomarrow and will probably transplant to the bigger pots sunday or monday, thanks for the help.
