have you done HID in the past? I was wondering if your buds were seeming light and airy? I've got two euphorias under two blackstar 500 in a 4 by 4 tent but I'm only in like day 4. Looking at the other link in your sig I can see you have. are you doing a comparison now or just the LED?

I've grown with both 400w and 600w in the past. The two in flower now were under LED until 16 days into 12/12. I don't think they're light and airy for having flowers 9-10 days but there's no way to tell that until they're done. All LED now. So far I'm not seeing any difference between HID & this wattage LED other than a lot less heat and less noisy ventilation required. It's still really way too early to tell how this LED expiriment will turn out but so far so good.

Keep an eye out for magnesium deficiencies (yellowing that starts out looking like nute burn) they seem to be more common in LED grows. Supersoil seems to really help prevent it... unfortunately can't put nute sensitive plants in super soil

Apollo #1 is definitely falling behind #2... which seems to be on it's way to be a monster. It's odd because #1 has been the hardier plant all the way til flower. Flowers have some twisting any ideas? Might have to move the LEDs up a bit, but they're same distance to the other plant...

Where is your Romulan from? I was given a jack the ripper cut two yrs ago and I'm still enjoying its attributes for sure. like the daytime/nighttime program going on here Sense..

Voidling grew them from seed and gave me a cut -- not sure where he got them from. One of my new seeds coming in is a JTR cross

Ive grown with the bs240 the buds are alittle lighter than hps but the trich formation is insaabe i went back to hps but lovley plants gonna be jiller smoke

Did you compare to a 135w HPS? Otherwise I'm not sure how it was a fair comparison Most of the grows I've seen when the ACTUAL power draw wattage of the LED is compared to the HID wattage the LED wins. Most people base it on the total LED watts (for example comparing the blackstar to a 240w, which it is not comparable to)

I was given the rom seeds, not sure their path. The whole story of romulan is convuluted

I didn't even notice until I looked at these snapshots... fully formed trichomes on the plants finally awwww yeah I was about to start getting worried about there not being more frost. I think they may both have a deficiency coming on not sure... (see leaf pics) - apollo 1 is lagging way behind on bud formation compared to #2, which is developing pretty normally I think

Veg/alternate flower area - getting crowded again... the OG Kushes are on the right flowering. White Russian is flowering where they during the day. In a couple of weeks I'm going to flower out one of the apollo cuts during the daytime as well.

That's what I am thinking too that it looks like.. and also what I have heard... bought cal mag the other day and gave them some their last watering I think... will definitely be giving them a good dose if it seems to be progressing still in the next couple days.

I'm also going to be putting some extra epsom salts and crab meal to both my veg and flower soil mix for the future.

You would think the LED makers would be recommending cal-mag supplementation by now to try and make sure people were happy with their lights. I wonder what causes the increased need for mg.

Those roms are stretchy. The test clones were 4" or less single stem. They are now well over a foot tall.

In the future I plan to hit them with koolbloom earlier as I hear it'll stop vertical growth

Yeah I'm probably going to have to take cuts off of and flower the rommie pretty soon just so she doesn't get too big in bloom. I'm planning on switching all except one cut of each strain over to 12/12 in 2 or 3 weeks. I gotta wait for my dirt to cook until then gonna be topping the shit out of them to retard their vertical growth.

to do with leds and mag deficiency it is something to do with one of the light spectrums being put out causes the plant to take up less mag ..... this is what i hear havent looked into it to much i believe it was the 660nm or something cant recall exactly , but if anyone else around has more info on it i would love to hear about it.
