8x8 grow tent advice needed

So I'm using a grow tent now. Figured I'd give that a try. However, before I make my switch into the tent I'd want it set up properly. Trying to decide. For air intake and outake if I need a 4",6" or 8". I got a good size dehumidifier, I'll be getting a carbon filter soon enough. I go t some oscillating tower fans that purify the air as well too. As for lights, during veg I have a 315w cmh light, and then a 630w cmh light for flowering. Anyone know what size intake and out take fans I'll need for The tent? The 630 does out out some decent heat. So between the dehumidifier and the fans, I'm hoping to keep that under control better. It's easier it seems in a room but the tents seem convenient in other ways. Anything else I should be looking into?

I assume your planning on sticking with the 630 and not filling all your tent?

To work out the proper airflow you want to know the hottest the ambient air is going to be. (The air coming in,working with worst case)
Then from that you can take your desired temp (in your tent with lights on)
Subtract your ambient air temp from your desired temp to give you the acceptable temp rise(DT).

Then use this
CFM = 3.16 x Watts / DT(°F)

So for example your air temp may be 70 and your desired temp 80 so you have a 10 degree temp rise and it would work like this,

CFM = 3.16 x 630 / 10 = 199 cfm.

You would add 20-25% on for the impedance the filter and duct causes.
You should also add all your other electrical items in the tent to your light wattage when you calculate it, like fans, water pumps ect.

This is just an example and you need to plug in your own values.

Well id just go with an 8 inch because I'm sure you will end up with more lights than that in an 8x8 at some point. It sucks to buy equipment twice because you decide to upgrade lighting it's a much cheaper upgrade if all you got to do is buy another light and you already have the fan to handle it. Rather than buying a 6 inch then adding more lights just to realize you don't have enough fan and have to upgrade it too then have to upgrade to a carbon filter that works with an 8 inch. If you haven't already gotten the fan I'd check out the AC infiinity brand, I don't have one yet but they look really nice and the people that do have them seem to like them.

Start with an 8". That AC infinity is a dimmable, right @Apalchen ? The other fan I like is the Hyperfan (dimmable) and only 75 watts. I would hook that up to a humidity/temperature controller.

Come to think of it I don't even know for sure ac Infinity makes an 8 inch but they prob do, yes its adjustable it comes with a control module that you set to turn the fan on or turn it up when it hits certain temps.

If for some reason they don't make an 8 inch fan, I still recommend an 8 inch ,just have to go another brand, it would def be beneficial to find one that is adjustable or to get a speed controller to go with it.

It's alot to factor in and get familiar with lol. Yeah I have another 315w cmh I might add in for just a bit extra coverage. I mean the 630 is just two of the 315s anyways. So I can just have one controller to rule the temperature so to speak once it gets dialed in? Or an I understanding that wrong? Sorry. Tent life is new to me lol. I'm sure I'll be doing YouTube tutorials as well for like two weeks
