Great pics!!

:leaf:So are you going to stick with the velcro? What about make a little frame the size of where the velcro fits and fasten your poly/velcro to that so you dont have to roll up that door?----have the velcro on the inside so it still sticks(make sense? just an idea....).
......."4" people to put up that poly??I know it makes it easier, just kind of jumped out at me......

:mrgreen:Your room is looking excellent, grodrow!! This is gearing up and getting exciting!!bongsmilie

hey, when's your bow season start?
im not sure what you mean about the frame and putting it on the inside? all of the wood is on the inside of the room except the door. i had to put it on the outside so i could close it theres no way i can seal it if its on the inside. maybe im just not reading it right. the guy was askin me i got it so straight and no wrinkels it took 4 of us to hold each corner and keep it tight and square. and the way i did it was when i screwed it all together it would make it light and air tight for the most part. i just lined every were it was screwed together with black duk tape and its seems to be taaking care of it for now. i got a couple cans of spray foam just in case. 14 days from today its arrow time cant wait to put the crossbow to good use. ive seen some big deer on my property. speaking of damm deer i hit one wedensday night a nice 6 pointer. they wouldnt let me keep the rack told me id have to sacrifice one of my buck tags just for the rack told em no thanks im after his grandad. ordered some train wreck last week cant wait for it.

the humboldt nutrients are expensive as hell. im also gonna run general hydroponics with botniacare supplements. i have 14 DWC's im gonna run the humboldt on 7 and run the general an botnicare in the other 7. and ill prob do the same with the 2 aquamist systems with those same 2 or maybe 2 different ones to find wich one is best for me and gives me the best taste. im not really doin it for quanity im all about the taste!!!

ive been so busy lately trying to get up and running and still trying to figure out how to set up my air in an out and keeping it cool i sealed it up the other night for 2 hours and with just the 400 and the little fluro running it got up to 91 so i gotta fix that i got my A/C unit up and going but itss a window unit. ANY SUGGESTIONS HERE WOULD BE AWESOME FDD,LOUDBLUNTS,SOG,GROWINMAN, SOMEONE? lol thanks guys.

ive been to the growing shop twice this week and spent dam near a grand on shit i got my TDS and PH meter though and some insecticidal soap so i can spray these clones i got. there were mites were they came from witch we havent seen any or any signs of them in a month or better.

theres a few pics of the 18gal rubbermaids i made for a 2 plant DiY i put 2 4" air stones in those and only 1 2" in the buckets. the high did say 91 it must change daily or something but thats why i took the pic cause it was so high. im not running the 1k yet cause i just pit the clones in a few days ago and it would get 4 times hotter so im using 1 of my old 4oos for now and a fluroscent on the side. i put the tie offs up temporarly till i get my lights and light movers but they come in handy and there about the simpliest it gets when it comes to hanging lights. also a close up of my airpump the macdaddy and a couple shots of the room right now as it is enjoy!

the last 2 are some new spray heads i bought i was gonna put them in my cloner and have 5 of those and 5 of the green ones any thoughts on those heads?

Couple of questions, observations: That ballast looks scary as hell hanging there like that!<---at least close those 's' hooks a bit more. That looks like it was a remote ballast?? Just looks like the light/hood was put together(haven't seen one like that, but I dont get out much). Couldn't you get the cord set and get that out of that room? :hump:
The sprayers in your cloner......they're fine. I've found with mine that they all work okay. I just like the ez-clone spray tips because of how easy they are to work with and I've only had success so far with them. On the other hand, in my aero veg-system I like those spinners too, until the roots reach them......other than roots getting in the way, just make sure your useing good disolving nutes that wont build up/plug the tips and you should be set great!!:weed:

Okay, the ac........ There are a couple of diy's here for making some kind of box thing that's vented out, or some sh*t like that. IMO, your creating more problems and more work trying to set that thing up, but I didn't try, so really cant say. I know that you can go on CL and get a decent used portable w/dehum for a couple of hundred bucks----it'll get even cheaper going into winter. One of the things I didn't like about building one out of a window unit was the idea of building a box to house the thing in, duct it out with ?, set up a drip pan or something----and how much room does it take up, and how well is it really going to work?.....and I am sure there are other issues, or not-----like I said, I didn't do this.
But getting that ballast out of there and venting the lights will definately help with the temps..... I still dont vent my lights so the ac is on probably 9 of the 12hrs each night(easily wasting the power for another light or two).

The door.......yeah, I was way stoned last night, almost as much as right now, haha:shock:.. Okay.... Your door now rolls up?, off the velcro? If you were to make a frame the outside dimensions of your door opening, so the frame is bigger than the opening, then attach your poly stuff to the outside of the frame. Vecro the inside of the frame where it lines up with the velcro on the opening of your room.....you could hinge it or whatever, or nothing; just pop it on there/pull it off. Just an idea.....

I LOVE those air stones!!<---de're da bomb:hump: Your ol lady's cat is cool too!

Now your getting me thinking of setting up a couple of 5 gal dwc's---maybe I will....one w/WW the other the w/AK......we'll see, eh?

How's the weather there?----guess I could go all the way over to your other journel and ask that, haha!:peace:

Hope your having FUN!!

as far as the A/C im gonna put it in the window just blowing into the garage. and ill have to weather strip everything exspecially the garage door. if i could fix the few lil gaps in the biggest places it would stay cool/warm and i think when it turns colder i wont need ac or heaat i think the lights will heat it. and i wil have an intake sucking the cooled air in the garage and run my fan/filter through my lights and exhaust back in the garage. it will suck through the filter over the lights and back out the room and a smaller fan will pull iin new air.

and as far as the door frame i think i got it gonna try it in a day or so

and you should set up some buckets i love them and use to hate them got to be the simpliest way to grow hands down

and weather dont get me started you may wanna go check the other thread cause im fixing to go there and cuss the hell out of the weather!!!

not sure exactly where u r at on equipment purchasing...

but i'd spend the money on light systems rather than light movers... (4) 600w lamps or 1, 6 then 6,1 configuration you were talking about ... or even (4) 1000watters. not sure what dimensions your flower room are... the (4) 6'ers might be more than enough. The light mover is going to cost as much as the light system... and it isn't like its going to double your lumens. I'd only go for a light mover over a light system if total electrical consumption is a big consideration. otherwise, more lumens ='s more bud.

the light mover kit with a 2 meter rail a 6 rpm motor and all mounting hardware is only 200 tax and all. thats what i can get it for i bought 1 friday for my brother. im gonna prob get 2 600s and put them on movers. i figured with them all being on movers it would be like having a thousand. the room is 8x8 hence thread title. and i was gonna do 4 1ks staionary but i figure thats danm near to much and thats why i considered the movers. money is not really a big factor for the room cause i wanna do it right no bullshit. so help me out people 2 lights and movers 600s or 1k's and add a couple 8 bulb t5's or what i need more opinions??????

hey GMAN i for got to tell you those lights, the ones you were refering to those were my first lights. there 400 watt hps i bought 4 of them when i first started growing. there like energy efficent commerical somethings they dont use a lot of power and ballast reflector and all dont get much warmer than our air cooled cool tube 1K's. ill post a link check them out! those arent what i plan on using im actually trying to sell them? i just threw it in there with those fluro's around the side because i havent got my fan and filter up yet. i have no exhaust or intake yet and cant close or seal my doors yet to many probs with heat.

and BTW whats your opinion for my lighting situation :wall:

1. we have 2 1K cool tubes i know what they can do. (i have 2 seperate indoor grows and an outdoor) 2. i know what the 400s will do as these were my first lights when i first started growing. 3. ive seen some of the best bud ive smoked grown under t5s. and i also know what cfl's can do. (SEE MORE BUDS marijuana for less grow 8oz's of bud for under 100$) im in the process of building this for my wife. it uses 6 cfl's 3 plants and grows just over 8 oz's. i just dont belive really that 2 1ks staionary will yield more than 2 600s on mover's. thats my humble opnion also. ill try and post the pics of the cfl setup when its copmlete. heres the lights i have and am familiar with and the aquamist system i love it i cant wait to get them!!!:bigjoint:
i also have the switchable 1000w hps/mh with air cooled hood pic on last page.

that's where ur figuring wrong. (4) stationary 600's would woop the ass out of (2) 600's on light movers. at the same initial cost. HTG has the best deal on light systems, i'm sure its 219.00 or less for a 600 HPS (same price for a 1000w). but good luck either way... and i'll stay tuned to see if you make the right decision or not :D  ;-)

and you've already got (4) 400's for a veg. room ... and one of ur 1000watters with a MH conversion bulb (or the switchable ballast you have) would jumpstart clones when placed at the right height...

but it's all good man. there are 101 ways to grow weed. and if ur happy with ur results, that's all that matters.

(EDIT: ur probably on solid ground, though, comparing the output of a 600watter on a ight rail to that of a stationary 1000watter. figure the 600 is already at about 70 percent of the 1000's efficiency... add on another 10-20 percent increase for the rail light distribution... and i wouldn't be surprised to see both yeild about the same. the only difference there is ur paying double on the initial cost for the 600/mover, but less on electricity.)

yea thats kinda my thing on the electricity part i dont wanna run 4 600s much less 2 1k's and in an 8x8 room the 600 seems to be more efficient and work better. im gonna go with the 2 600s and movers im pretty sure? and the switchable 1k plus some fluroscents for the clone/mother/veg room. the 400s are old they work well and would need new bulbs i may keep one but im tryin to sell the 4 and add that money to the pit to lol. i want some t5s but dam there so high

8x8 ... this is bring'in back memories :D if you don't mind getting a light mover... you've got -everything- else that you need.

unfortunately, the last time i looked at Cost on a Circular Light Mover... it wasn't cheap.

I once flowered in a 7'x7' using a 1000w HPS (you have) and a 400w MH (you have) with both of them placed on a Circular Light Mover. Each light is placed on one arm of the mover. The other two 400w MH's you have would be ideal for veg. and (3) 4' ft 2 bulb flourescent fixtures would satisfy all your clone requirements.

The only thing you lack, for excellent light distribution of both MH/HPS is a circular light mover. :leaf: $320.00 is the best deal i could find on a two-arm circular light mover.
