80w cob led recommendations?

What's up guys, I'm doing a micro grow in a small cabinet with side lighting only and a vertical net, like this video
Does anyone have any recommendations for cob leds or any other type of light?

Would 80w construction lights work the same as a grow light?

I would look at a quantum board, a cob might be a bit too intense close up.

If you do want to go with a COB the Luminous CXM-22 Gen 4 is presently king in that wattage range.

thanks alot, I will check those out. Do these come with everything needed to just plug them into the wall? I heard some leds needed special power suplies

What's the optimal distance for that board? I can change the dimensions of the box if needed

You will need a driver. I am not an expert on them, never used them but there are a lot of guys in the LED section that can help.

Honestly jus get some bridgelux EB strips you can be much closer with them.


The bottom line here is whatever you run you want to run more of them softer so you can be closer without light stress.

I think Bridgelux EB's are ideal for micro, can be run within just a few inches.
Four of these can be powered with a cheap 1500ma driver from fleabay/amazon, 30 watts of efficient light for about $20 USD!
At 19.5 volts, a Dell laptop supply is also a perfect match for the 280mm and 560mm EB's.
