update time
ok so chunks are doing well and are budding up nicely.
the main heads of each plant has sustained some stress damage from the light tripping out the week before but are recovering well. the other heads on each plant look fine with no obvious stress damage. :)
ok so here are some pics of them at day 34 (which was a few days ago)

right then so end of week 8 and well lets just say things did not go as well as planned but the ladies will keep going for another 2 weeks i think
i dont no when i should flush though as most of there hairs are still white. any ideas would be great.
anyway enjoy the pics
IMG_0513.jpgIMG_0514.jpgIMG_0515.jpgIMG_0516.jpgIMG_0518.jpgIMG_0519.jpgIMG_0521.jpgIMG_0524.jpgIMG_0525.jpgIMG_0528.jpgIMG_0530.jpgIMG_0531.jpgIMG_0534.jpgIMG_0537.jpg
as you can see some of the buds are looking pretty nice. but some of them have committed suicide. something went wrong. i can only put i down to a range of factors
- cold night time temps
-ph was wrong (ph pen broke about 4 weeks ago)
-possible power cut
anyway its still going and its my 1st time hydro so mistakes were bound to happen. i cant get in there any more and due to there being some messed up buds i have no idea what the yield of this will be.
anyway any advice on when i should flush would be good. ive read that for clay balls you only need to flush for 7 days?
cheers

looking good, have seen far worse from people that should know better! still swelling by looks of it, could go 10 but if you want to hurry things up adding an extra hour of darkness could help, id flush them 7-10 days before harvest, changing the res frequently to remove the nute run off from the pebbles. peace =]

ok
so the chunks are now going into week 10 of flower.they started there flush 3 days ago.
so there have been quite a few things i have done wrong and the plants have not performed aswel as i would like but its all about learning haha
over the last few days out of the blue little male pods have started to form, still green in colour i have picked of everyone that i could find so i hope there is no late seed development. is this possible this late on?
anyway to the pics
IMG_0613.jpgIMG_0615.jpgIMG_0618.jpgIMG_0619.jpgIMG_0620.jpgIMG_0629.jpgIMG_0630.jpgIMG_0631.jpgIMG_0632.jpgIMG_0633.jpgIMG_0634.jpgIMG_0635.jpgIMG_0637.jpg
some of the buds look really stressed and have no dense bud on them :/
IMG_0626.jpgIMG_0627.jpgIMG_0645.jpgIMG_0621.jpgIMG_0646.jpgIMG_0647.jpg
but :P lower down on each plant there are buds that have not been stressed to much and have formed better (may be small buds but there is a huge amount of them :P) anyway enjoy

So were the chocolate chunk problems man made or were they genetics? This is a strain I've been looking at so just curious.

thx for sharing yur grow with us wilma8. i think the genetics played a big part in the choc chunk grow too... i thought from the get go that those looked awfully stringy for that strain. you have the right concepts too, you didnt get overly frustrated, like i do, and you admitted that you're learning from it.

so where is the big bang from?

thanks smellz. appreciate the comments :) good to get some feedback. it was a steep learning curve.the new pictures i uploaded were from a failed hermi jack herrer clone grow. :(
