I used the ice-water method my first few times as well.

My personal results are MUCH better using the dry ice method.
Easier, way less messy, more product, and higher quality finished product.

Some may be extremely efficient with an ice-water extraction, but for me the results were just ... argh!

Save yourself some pain and go straight to dry-ice.

I've been a lurker for a while but since I could contribute in this instance I figured I'd register and whatnot.

Thought I'd save someone the nightmare I went through using ice-water and point them in the direction of dry ice since the method is a dream by comparison.

Mileage may vary from person to person, but at least for me, I've found my preferred method...never again shall I stir Ice-water mash ;)
Dry Ice all the way.

*edit* nice grow btw, very similar to my growspace... I got 2x1k's in raptors in a 5.5x11 space

Actually, I'm just now trying coco for the first time.

Everything in the flower room is in pro-mix, but all my new babies are in coco.

As for nutes, I've been using the entire fox farm for a bit, but am slowly shifting over to a few GH products(kindof, I'm really a little all over the map)... once I'm out of my FF base, I'm gonna switch them to GH too.

Right now for veg I use: FF grow big, and FF big bloom, giving them a little grow more kelp and GH flora blend from time to time ..oh and cal mag now that I'm in coco

Flower right now is FF tiger bloom+ big bloom supplemented by a little grow big every now and then so they don't go N deficient.For adds right now I'm trying AN's Big Bud and will finish with overdrive (simply because these were free samples) I also give them some flora nectar when I give them adds... When they are well into flower I give them Humbolt's ginormous as a pk boost.

That's pretty much it.

I've only been growing a couple years so nothing phenomenal yet, but I do pretty well.

Be careful mixing AN products with the other nutes. Keep a close eye we had problems early on while mixing GH Cal-Mag in with AN base's we called AN and they told us directly not to mix AN with anything but AN, pushing there product maybe but when we stopped adding the GH cal-mag our problems went away. Have also heard rummers that AN's new formula is designed to "lockup and Gel" in the medium when mixed with other brands Not 100% on that just our experience.

Yeah man totally agreed, but they shouldn't be taxin like they are on the shit they're bringin in. 3800 a lb for what would be considered schwag like in Cali is like robbery. But it's all thats here sometimes.

One,Thousand watt setup runs about $580 to buy,Plus fans,nutes,supplys,time spent,and last but not least the fucking light bill...
Nothing cheap about this. But we look at it like it's a small business as long as there is some profit we will continue.
