7 weeks flowering all white pistils?

I have a plant out doors in florida, im in about my 7th week of flowering give or take a couple days, and all my pistils are still white, they look like they are kinda getting a little cloudier but mostly all white. is this normal? it came from bag seed but it looks sativa. No pics, sorry, no camera. i was thinking about harvesting in another week since normaly its around 8 weeks to flowering right? but if the pistils all stay white im not harvesting.

I know you need to check the trichs but no Micro scope either. Im a poor kid. hahah

You have a longer flowering strain is all that is going on. A lot of plants finish in 8 weeks, but these were bred to do so. If you just pick a seed from a bag of buds, you have no idea what its going to be like, they are not stable genetics. Even if you had 2 seeds, and both were female, one could take 6 weeks to flower, the other could be 16 weeks.

If it is sativa like you mention, you could have as much as 10 more weeks to go. Especially if none of the hairs have changed at all. On my 60day strains, by week 5 the pistils are starting to change color. In the last CC magazine, they mention a strain that takes 5months to flower. I doubt your's will take that long, but I would guess at least 10-12 weeks total. That is why I stay away from sativas.

yeah i was thinking i might just leave it out there for another couple weeks until week 10. thanks for the reply + rep. The buds are getting fat as hell though, wish i had a camera to show off my great work. its my first grow btw. and its about 3 feet tall. expecting about an ounce or ounce and a half off her.

Wow, a beginner with reasonable expectations. That's a rarity. LOL
Congrats on finishing your first grow.

Similar thing going n here, I had one lady of the group that didn't grow any pistils and I nearly pulled her from the grow, week 1-2, now at week 7 it's the fattest of the bunch. half feel like 3 weeks to go the other 2 weeks. Going by pistils..broscience. shooting from the hip on this as it's my first grow too, If it wasn't for sites like this I probably would have harvested these already.

How exactly do pistils get cloudy? Without pictures good advice will be hard to come by. That being said if it's a pure Sativa it's going to take a long time to finish.

Normally nothing finishes in 8 weeks. Sorry to burst your bubble. I'd expect a pure Sativa to run at least another month and a half.
