7 weeks big bud

so this big bud been flowering for 7 weeks now all i got is pistils no bud nutes are sensi two part bloom temps are on point ph is on point everything is dialed in what should i do this has never happend to me do i flower longer or toss

might be a little early, I've heard of big bud producing a lot of yield very late. Lighting schedule?

is 12/12 from 6pm to 6am how much longer should i wait another 3 weeks

sounds like 90 days is the average to cure big bud... be patient

ill sit and wait just never thought it would take 3 months lol

the longer you wait, the happier you will be with your nugs. big bud YEILDS big at the very end, hence the name! nothing beats a plant that spits out huge nugs/cola's

Damn. You should check for major light leaks in that room or verify the off hours on your timer.

No, but I have a buddy who runs a pretty good sized operation with big bud, and it does take a while. 7 weeks is not a long time.

but what whould u think is wrong with them thats what i wass thinking it should have some results by now i wass looking at a few threads with ppl growing big bug and on the 7th week they had big ass colas ima toss just cuz i have some vialotor kush waiting to flip and those are about 3ft already

i kinda have to agree with cat, at 7 weeks those buds should be bending the stems to the point of breaking. are you 100% sure the dark period is 12/12 without light pollution or interruptions? I only ask cause I had a big bud mother on a 14 on/10 off cycle for 5 months and she tried to go into flower, only to produce minor amounts of soft shitty bud.
were the seeds good quality from a reputable breeder?
its hard to pin-point what happened, either shit seeds or you did something you shouldnt have! dont worry just toss em and start again. you wont perfect growing the first few times but things like this happen. it sucks but its just the way she goes!

big bud is one of those strains with a lot of genetic variability - that is to say, you still get plants like these along with the awesome ones.
try a BB skunk cross or a BB northern lights cross or something for more yield reliability.

Hello all

I have a big bud on the go at the moment, dude you need to scrap that as a failure or if you cant bring your self to do it keep it going for a while and see what happens.

Mine is 3 days into week 6 of flowering and god damn the colas are huge, ive already had to tie the main branches up as they are bending that far they tip the netpot out of my dwc system they are that heavy - man and its not even the "fattening" stage in the last two weeks yet!!

I got it from seed from a friend and even though its been riddled with problems like bute burn, then deficiency, then root problems (which is wierd as the others i have on the go are all fine, maybe the genetics as you guys have said?) but still its looking healthy and has some majorly fat buds.

maybe ur lights are not big enough or to far away. All these young guns think the can use a few small cfls and get massive results

Yeah Im on my second grow, the first was with cfl's but did really well and got 3 oz dried of 1 plant. i switched straight to a 400w mh for veg and now on 400w sunmaster hps for flowering and the growth difference in the two grows is massive - lets put it this way i had to veg for just 3 weeks they got so big and now my light is strapped to the very roof of my tent cos the two i have in there fill the whole damn thing!!

MH & HPS everytime from now on!! (well looking into LED for sidelighting the lower halfs next time around)

If your trying to produce, an plants look like that at 7 weeks into flower, your gonna have to toss if you wanna keep producing. Its just gonna take up space and time. I also agree that its probably some bad genetics or a mistake on your part that went unnoticed.

i think its genetics i tossed them cuz my vialator kush are getting to bigg i had to flip them and i dnt think light had to do annythng with it im running 3 400w i wnna thank all for responding i like the fact that everyone helps each other out on the site deff gon try another try with bb but this time from attitude seed bank oh and its a sealed room no light leaks at all i got a master kush in there thats held up by string cuz the buds wont hold
