I got a question for you. I've been having trouble with cloning. I've never clone successfully before. I bought power and gel. The only thing I clone before was by power and it was like 1 out of 5 straight on soil. I've been using gel and the ratio is 10 to ZERO! I've tried soil, cubes, pete pellets things, and now I'm trying bubbleponics aka ez cloning. The success rate should be in the top 90's but now my plants are in flowing stage. I want to know what type of lighting should the clones be on and I know it can be from 18 to 24 hours. The setup is currently on 1000 watts Hortilux HPS light bulb. I also have another setup that I made for the clones under T12 fluorescent light tubes at 40 watts each which I have 2 of them so it would be 80 watts. Btw I had the clones 3 days without a dome, and since I read "it has to need one", I put one on. Is this enough for the clones? If anyone knows the answer please reply asap!

P.S. The orange tree adds a citris aroma in the air so you hardly can smell the bud outside because inside the tent is danky! If anyone wondered if the chillies took the after take smell of bud, the answer is YES! Once the chillies were done, they were washed, the smell of bud was still on them .
Also I'm not a smoker at all. I'm my step dad's helper (I guess you would call it Care Giver) and this would be his medial marijuana which this is 100% legal. He has back problems (pain, from falling off a latter to the ground back first during work) and maybe cancer (I hope not). I hope you guys can help me and I'll help my step dad from your advise(s)!

If anyone has any questions for me I feel free to answer if it's not that personal or I feel I should not answer it, but most likly I would.

BTW turkster, you're doing an awesome job, keep up the good work.

well i hope you have success with the bubbleponices clone set-up..your not doing something right,,,look at the FAQ board go to youtube, watch a video...its not that defecult..their are thing you need to do and keep it sterile, 45 degree cut clean blade, 100% hum.. in a dome., let the plants breath everyday, keep moist not soaked, heat pad is a must for warth..the lights you have in the picture should do fine for the clones......those plants dont look to good? they are streached,, i hope you get some smoke with those babys...GL & GG

I've watch many videos and yes they've been 45 degree cut with a clean sterile blade. Heat is not a problem at all trust me :) That's 1000 watts, it generates tons of heat, and the plants love it. Sometimes when outside gets around 90 degrees (California weather we are talking about) I have to use a A/C to cool down the place! Btw I've check today and the clones are still alive and healthy and also facing the light like I wanted them to do it!

Thanks for the help, but I still want to know if the 2 40 watts lights are good for the clones and let them grow as vegies for now and as soon as the flowering stage is done I'll put them back right in the 1000 watts.

the 2- 40 watts should be ok for now for your clones..bring the light closer to the clones, and as far as the heat? the heat has to come from the bottem of the tray so the roots generate, not the heat in the room...you shopuld be ok with your equipment you have, just some fine tuning..your lookin ok....GL & GG

ps,,thats encourageing if the clones are standing and looking for light!!!

Hey dude, you know is there any difference between these. Heaters goes in the water and warms the water around 78-80 degrees. Heat mats adds 10 to 20 degrees more. Do you know if both basically warms the water. If so, I can get a heater faster, because a heat mat I would have to order it, which would take a longer time. Also this questions goes out to anyone.:peace:

Nice work! Good troubleshooting. Sign of a good grower and golfer when you can correct a problem during a round vs. after a round ;).

Think you let these guys get under your skin to much. Lighten up and enjoy the comments. Notice they are all good...except for the aviator....

Hey dude follow this link
http://www.weedbay.net/overgrow-thebook/Clonning/835.htm

I had the same problem like you bro. I planted so many clones, many different right ways and they looked like they survived, but ended up dying. I made my own cheapo-Aero cloning tub. It works great! So far my baby clones have roots hanging down! Most of the products were purchase at wally-mart. Tub was purchase at a 99 cent store. I had duct-tape for taping the whole tub so light can't penetrate. Lastly, I bought 2 inch Neoprene Collars at my local Hydro place. Timer was bought at Lowes. 30 min on, 30 min off. I also recommend to get a heater which is next to the airpump at wally-mart. Also get the Tetra Air Pump 30 to 60 gal. It makes great bubbles. If you have any other questions, let me know, I'll try and help out a bro! :hump:
