of course, any bigger pot is going to alow for bigger plants, and the bigger the plant the more budd it makes. the tricky part is finding somewere to keep a 6 foot+ weed tree.

As opposed to what? A smaller size? A larger size? What strain(s) are we talking about? How long would you veg them? What type of lighting are you using and what is the wattage?

Normally a 7-gallon pot is the smallest sized pot I grow in. A few times I have gone smaller using strains that were smaller plants and when I wasn’t vegging long and going for large plants.

With all the right conditions you should do better in a larger pot because your plant will have more root space and not be stressed from becoming root-bound and it is easier to keep up on watering, they will not go dry as quickly and as easily as say a 5-gallon pot would, and there is more soil to hold more nutes so your plant has better and more constant access to nutes than in a smaller pot where it would suck them out of the soil faster.

So if everything else is right you should do better. If everything else isn’t right pot size alone will not make much of a difference.

Since you asked "can you yield more" I will say yes. If you asked will you yield more than what I said above applies in that only if everything else is right.

yep so do i when my soil is dry down to my 2nd nuckle.:weed:
I'm gonna hijack this thread just a bit to ask mygirls a question - you seem pretty knowledgeable on larger plants. So here goes.

I'm heading to home depot /etc in a few days to buy some materials to make a grow box. I only want to grow 1 plant (just for me :) ), but I figure, why not just grow a big one and get all that tasty yield for myself? I've got room in my basement that I want to just sit a box there - separate environment and such...

So, let's say I want to use a 7 gallon bucket, and I want to get a nice big plant (yield over 5oz from the Super Lemon Haze seeds, which are a sativa dominant). What dimensions would you recommend for me to construct this box? I'll be using many CFLs to grow this baby (yeah, I know it may not be such a good idea, but I kind of got a bunch of CFLs for free, so it ends up being cheaper for me). With using CFL's, I wouldnt imagine that I'd need much clearance from plant top to the top of my box. I plan on just putting CFL's all over my plant, using lamps , sockets, etc... to just smother it.

Anyways - what would you recommend for dimensions? And what sort of yield are you hoping for with that plant you've got now (the one that is 20-something days into flowering)?

Thanks! Your plants look awesome.

OUT GROWING FOX FARM ORGANICALLY

From my understanding of fox farm and there synthetic supplements

Are the high N-P-K levels

Synthetics
FOX FARM
Open sesame N-P-K 5-45-19
Beastie blooms N-P-K 0-50-30
Cha ching N-P-K 9-50-10
Grow big N-P-K 6-4-4
Big bloom N-P-K .01-.3-.7

Organics
EARTH JUICE
Grow N-P-K 2-1-1
Bloom N-P-K 0-3-1
Meta-k N-P-K 0-0-10

Humboldt
Grow N-P-K 3-1-3
Bloom N-P-K 0-10-0

Now what I see with the synthetic supplements are higher P-K levels now if you were to visit 3lb guide to earth juices you would see that by giving the plant more dosages will increase the yield
Now what I’ve come up with is in order to compete with fox farm open sesame N-P-K
Levels of 5-45-19 would be to add these organic nutrients as follows
Two dosage of EARTH JUICE META-K from 0-0-10 to 0-0-20 inside of its own 1 gallon container
Humboldt organic bloom N-P-K 0-10-0 four dosages which brings it to 0-40-0 and it need its own 1 gallon container as well

Earth juice grow needs only one dosage
Now add all of your gallons of dosages into one container and water this has not been tried as of yet but what do you think about what I have come up with dose it make since to you

If you wanted to out do beastie blooms N-P-K 0-50-30
Bloom N-P-K 0-10-0 the dosage count would be 5
Meta-k N-P-K 0-0-10 the dosage count would be 3
Mix it into two gallons of water

My ideal set of nutrents would be a combination of

Earth juice
Grow N-P-K 2-1-1
Meta-k N-P-K 0-0-10
Humboldt
Bloom N-P-K 0-10-0
