I bid and won on EBAY a 76"X76"X76" tent with white PVC lining:

http://www.thelashop.com/catalog/76x76x76-inch-Indoor-Outdoor-Garden-Hydroponics-Grow-Tent-Box-p-657.html

I'm nervous about past stories of tents from China with the white liner off gassing and killing plants. The description states on the web site that it doesn't do this but I'm weary. I was hoping to find someone else who purchased one of these tents and had either success or failure.

web site description:

Benefit of Dark Room Grow Tent:

A Dark Room grow tent is used to house plants so they develop successfully in a controlled environment. Creating the ideal growing conditions requires careful monitoring of the available light and heat sources. For that reason there is a layer of thermal film on the inside of a Dark Room grow tent. The film's most notable characteristic is that it is highly reflective, which contributes to an optimal lighting medium for the plants. In addition, it is waterproof and offers high heat insulation because of its reflective quality. As an added benefit, the film does not produce any toxic gases, and therefore, there is no risk of harming the plants.

that was years ago. yu are fine. however i wud advise yu to spend a few extra bucks and get the flanges. I have the same kind and it makes it a hell of a lot easier. In fact with that kind without the flanges, 2 for each hole you are screwed. Yu will need a lot of duct tape and wrapping balankets or something around ducts. Lol, but with the flanges it is awesome and way easier than the sleeve type tents. I have one of those too and it is a bitch.

Looks fine. I'm sure even the most expensive of all tents use the same type of plastics made in china. That seems like a steal! I'll have to remember to save that site!

Of course shipping is over 50% of the items price...fucking some bullshit right thur
That might not be the sellers fault. Have you seen how fucking expensive shipping is these days? It's fucking outrageous. A friend wanted to ship me something from europe via UPS and fedex (it was less than 1 lb) and they wanted 78 to 150 dollars to ship the god damn thing. The local shipping option was like 30 dollars. People really take USPS for granted (it's cheap and reliable).

Even cross country shipping US east cost to US west coast is insanely priced. In any case, when I see that the seller ripped me off on shipping (I check the invoice) I give them neg feedback on ebay. To me that's some straight up bullshit.

I know the shipping is expensive and thats why I included it in the post. Still $164 for that size of tent is half the usual price. Also there are a lot of powder coated metal bars and heavy nylon to ship. Its not like they're sending a coleman pup-tent these grow tents even dismantled are bulky and heavy...

FOr the record I have three tents. I paid I think about 100 dollars for a 4x4x6 bud box shipped on eBay, 120 for a 4x4x6 htg tent with flanges shipped and 90 dollars for a 2x3x5 mylar coated tent shipped. All are fine. The htg is best, has light leeks but I threw some curtains over it and it came with flanges. Also the bud box has annoying sleeves for vents which are light tight but a pain. The mylar one is legit but you got to be careful putting it together, or else it can rip at the seems. Not bad, considering the hydro store prices are always way higher. But yurs is bigger. CG. Get the apprpropriate duct sizes and get insulates ducting for 10 bucks more. Also worm screws to keep them on. GL.
