Yes I just got a couple used 8 bulb t-5 with 6500k bulbs and my old one had 6400k bulbs in it does it matter if I run these bulbs?

yes it does
are u running a 2foot or a 4foot

2 foot your choices are limited to 3 3000k 6500k and 10000k..........4 foot u have 5 choices 3000k 5400k 6400/6500k 10000k and 10000k with uva

i am running 2 8 bulb t-5's with 4' foot bulbs

No you are not limited to anything. There's all kinds of 2ft and 4ft bulbs. Best for veg is between 4800k -5500k. 6500k is useless and doesn't promote much growth in comparison.

Best bulbs. Htg 5400k and zoo med flora suns

Hyroot,

I am currently looking for the best veg and flower spectrum lights out there, including delving into aquarium lights. Unfortunately I am limited to a 2ft fixture because of the size of my tent. Looked at HTG and found that 2ft tubes are limited to 10,0000k, 6400k, 3000k. That's it. If you want more variety there you need a bigger tent and bigger fixture.
