62% humidipaks

Has anyone used these? I did a search and didn't find much info... just a lot of doubt that the RH would be too high, but these are specifically designed for storing cannabis. I didn't do so great with the cure process last time and ended up with buds that were too dry. I plan on drying for as long as I can, then burping the jar for the first few days and then storing them with the humidipaks to cure so I don't have to think about it anymore. What is the risk of mold forming at 62%?

I have them as well. I'm not sure how they are used for curing. I use them more as an aid in storing my buds. They'll never be too wet or too dry. I'm a fan

I just order 20 of them, the 8gs bags. I'm gonna give them a try, my humidity is 30-40% indoor.. I keep the temperature 70-80. My nuggets feel to dry, but when I squeeze they feel a bit soft.. I been curing in mason jars for two weeks... So I will give them a try, all let u guys know how it go's...

Mine are due to be delivered today- perfect timing as I have just jarred 1 plant of buds this week. I figured, ill try these things, can't see them doing any harm, why not? Ill try to remember to post my results in a few weeks.

Hey DT, saw you on the other Bovida thread. How about a little breakdown. How long did you hang dry? And the room conditions. Trim before or after? Anything else you can offer.

And don't forget a smoke report on the flavor! Also if the bud burns properly. Thanks

Im using the 8g B.P. in 1/2gal jars also but from the chart on their website you need about 2 8g packs for that amount of bud. Do you think 1 pack will work as good? I'm new to these things and there's not a lot of reviews from people who have used them. What's your experience been so far using them? I just jarred up some my harvest this week so the packs have only been in the jars a couple days now. I have noticed more and more people trying these. They'd be great if they do what they are advertised to do.

my drying room is my basement. 73* and 46% rh all the time. chopped and hung until outside of the buds were crispy, but not the centers. I trimmed all the big fans and large sugar leaves before hanging. after outside are crispy, I did my trimming and put them in jars. I put a digital r/h meter in each jar and put my trimmed buds inside. I kept burping the jars daily until I had a stable 55% r/h. i tossed in one r/h pack and kept the jars sealed. from my reading on their website, an 8g pack works for the jars. I only fill the jars 3/4 way full max.

smell-----fan-fuckin-tastic!!!!! smell. awesome aroma.
smoke-- once again fakin awesome, and smooth. my laughing buddah strain tasted great. the pineapple chunk as well. the strawberry cream is really smooth. you can deffinately taste the cream. i did harvest this strain just before too many amber trichs came about. every time i smoke this strain i feel like im tripping. its a super head high.

im still waiting on word on weather or not i can have these packs in my jars when i vacuum seal them. i don't want to packs imploding/leaking on my medicine.

The paks are salt solutions. The will either give off or absorb moisture until the relative humidity is stable at the designated level. One pack will work but will take a little longer to reach the proper humidity. They also will get spent faster trying to handle a larger amount of material which is why they recommend more

I've been using Boveda packs for years to maintain my cigar humidors. The little 8 gram packs are cool, but you get more bang for your buck with the 60g packs. You can pick up a 12 pack on eBay or amazon for $40 shipped, they're sealed and have a shelf life of two years as long as the plastic packaging is intact. If you put a 60g pack in an airtight jar, it will literally be almost as fresh as when you opened it two years later...these things are incredible.

I agree. Takes all the guesswork out of the process. If there is too much moisture it'll suck it up. Too dry it'll give off moisture

Smooth smoke and has no negative effects on smell in my experiences with these.

Only thing is I try to err on the side of too dry because they can take a few days sometimes to get the humidity right. There's still the possibility of mold if your buds are too wet when you put them in during the time its adjusting. They are a good safety net but not a replacement for proper procedures.

All in all I will probably never harvest without them again.

Just bought 6 of the 60 gram packs. I cure in 1.25 gallon jars and usually put about 4 ounces in there.

I get easily get my weed below 70% then these should take them down to 62% with out an "Oh fuck, I left the jar open over night" moment.

If my weed is at 62% then I can easily lower it a few percent to my ideal smoking rh.

I did see a different one for music reeds that goes to 58%, but those were more dollars and I have not heard about anyone using them.
