My leaves are in fairly good condition but i was wondering will a plant still produce buds if leaves are in bad condition?

If they are fairly bad than not at all but if they are fairly good than the chances are fair, although there is always a chance you could see fairly any yield. But to be fair, I'm still kind new at this too.
