600w viparled GSC grow journal

It has taken me all day but I got everything cut down and trimmed. Got 258g of leaf so gonna make some bho with that at wknd. Got it in freezer. Here is a pic of the remainder. Some is better quality. There are a few of the top buds that feel like stones. Noticed I had a little bud rot on 3 buds as well so I have chopped them out and binned them. Probably from the humidity issue I had a few weeks into flower. From the looks of it I will probably hit my 1gpw target so all is happy in brett land. Shame it had to be done this week and not in another fortnight. Joys of renting. Onwards and upwards, will take it all down thursday night and reassemble saturday. Gonna do some white widow this time. Will start a new thread.


Any guesses on yeild?

So fucking uncool...I rented a lots of flat here but the owner never came in MY flat...just send him money every month!
Maybe owners have the right to do that but they don't...people hate to be forced to welcome stranger in their house...Fuck him!
It was not possible to hide the plants 24h in a trunk or in a friend house or a basement..

Tbh I don't think they were that far off of being done. There were a lot of amber trichs on all except one so shouldnt be that bad a smoke. They don't seem to be shrinking too much either which is a good sign. And the only reason they are coming over is to inspect some bits I need done. They just told me it wouldn't be until after Xmas so was a shock to get that call. I panicked a bit, don't wanna get kicked out. If they even smell weed I will be thrown on my arse.

Firstly gotta say this gsc grow is exactly what I'm doing right now with hps tho. And your grow kicks arse with them cobs, they're veros aren't they not cbx cobs?

Secondly I gotta say I'm glad to see someone from the uk getting on to these cxb cobs, so hopefully you can give me a hand please..

Been meaning to get on these cxb cobs but never seem to find anyone supplying them, could you send me a link for a supplier who has cobs, heat stinks, driver and whatever else is needed to get these going.. I'm looking on getting 4 cobs for a .80x.80x140. Would you say that's too much or ideal?

Hey buddy, thanks for stopping in. The more light the better.

I used tme.eu for my heatsink and driver was easier to combine shipping cost than buying the driver with the cobs. Everyone here will recommend jerry from KingBrite (alibaba/aliexpress) for the cobs themselves. And I have used maplin for all the wire and bits I need. I'm just in process of adding a pot so I can dim my light for next lot of plants.

And yeah I'm using vero 29s v2 and im only using 3 lights in a 100 x 50 x 180cm tent. I'm running them at 1.4a so roughly 51w per cob.

You have to know if you built it the good way you gonna be able to use it for 50000h mini (if very well cooled even 100000h maybe without big efficiency lost if any at our power level!) That mean 10yrs of full cycle (30d vegg 70d bloom) maybe 20...!
So, knowing this, I choose to buy the best one (cxb 3590 @1400mA) with the best cooling system I could afford...and know they gave me back my patient, money, time...AMAZING LIGHTS!

So some is dry and some isn't. I have cut all buds from stems and will leave on a wire rack for 24 hours. The popcorn and fluff bits have dried enough to smoke and wow........ my eyes still hurt. Weighed the fluff and it's 42g (41.8g but i rounded up lol) so great start for a good yeild. I lost about 7g to bud rot but the rest seems fine. Will weigh in tomorrow and let you know how I have done. Shame it has had to finish early.

Anyone have a wiring diagram to add a potentiometer to my c1400b driver. I know I needed a resistor of some kind but can't for the life of me remember what size.

You need a 100k ohm potentiometer and a 10k ohm resistor!
You have a diagram in the thread MW hlg 3 in 1 dimming function!
I wired dim + to the middle of the pots (3 plots) and - to the left(nothing on the right plot)and the resistor on dim - wire (I tinned the resistor on the pot and on dim - wire but now I made a hook to be able to remove the resistor (there's plot and holes on my pot) when I push it to the max...108% open circuit!)

So by my calculations that's 180g and I was using 153w

So 1.18 gpw so a success from me right there. Whoop whoop.

Keep an eye on forum over weekend. The seeds are in the pots already, doing 2 x ww and 2 x amnesia. Did u get the seeds I sent in end. Forgot to resend. Will do that Monday if u didn't get the others.

I am just dismantling tent and gonna put it in the bag under my bed til Saturday morning. Gonna solder my pot onto driver this evening so I can dim it for the seedlings
