Go to Lowes or wherever and get a roll of the rubber weatherstripping, that will solve your leak problem! Here is the timer I use, 1 on, 5 off!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Repeat-Cycl...469?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33680bd6e5

will run it for 15 min 2x a day.

i already used some weather stripping and it didnt seem to solve the problem but i figure it wont leak that much in 15 min and im going to make a mark on the tote for a min fill lvl so i can check it daily and see how much water it is losing. its in a basement so the water leaking on the floor is not a huge deal.
 
that wont work leave is on all the time if thats the case, the problem will be youll gat air bubbles in the stem andd they will die from dehydration, ive tried 12/12 b4 and that didnt work too well either unless you run the pump at least once every 5 min youll be alright other wise just leave the pump on 24/7
 
well my outdoor grow is officially over, not because i want it to be but because someone decided to jack all my plants last night. i think i know who did it and im thinking im either going to get my shit back or someone might turn up in the river.
 
well on a side note i get to do an experiment :)

the assfucks who jacked my "mature" plants neglected to take the 1 biggest yeilder in the bunch, so i have reconstructed everything(in the indoor setup (was not leaving it out back) )

i took a nice clone HEHE (like 1 ft tall clone with 6-7 branches)

Picture this:

3x3x6 tent

with a blue walmart bucket outside of it

and a MH lit up, on 12/12 (will be going HPS by friday, with some blue spec side lighting)

i couldnt fit my last plant in my tent LOL

had to leave the container outside, prop her up with a tackle box and just put 1/2 of the plant in the tent, otherwise theres no way it would fit,,,,,i wish i had a pic..... will get one tomorow


RIP my plants, have no proof, just intuition.....i have been blamed for things i havent done and i never liked that feeling.even tho i know he did it......i guess ill prob just drop him one night at the bar..heheh, until then:leaf:l
 
Yo Matt... likeing the aero setup..

btw.. I heard that you should bubble with fine bubbles the GO line.. apparently it can cause it to ferment.. If you look on the GH website I think it says somethign to that effect.. apparently coarse bubbles are fine.. not sure if an aero setup will cause you any problems..
 
Sorry to hear that somebody jacked your shit, especially after you put in all that work. Remember loose lips sink ships. I would say to wait for that dude's karma to come back around, but sometimes karma just ain't fast enough, ya dig?

thanks for the heads up ill have to check it out, last night i just did 1/4-1/2 dose of the recomended flowering solution plus the bio marine (cold processed squid) in a 1 gal jug and just fed directly after mixing, im hoping it has some good results as the plant is a bit further behind the rest of the (hence why the jacker didnt bother taking it)

the aero setup is just for cloning once they get roots in there they will be put into soil to veg for 2 more weeks then flower. im going to see how 2 week veg time works out from rooted flowering clone, my hope is to get a nice reveg on all of my clones for a certain style of grow i like, i want the plants to be small but bushy.

im also going to try a couple clones from a vegatating plant to see how i like the end product, 1 main cola opposed to several tops i will get from a re veg...

yeah man i know what your saying, and the loose lips thing too. it is my own fault for showing people my plants, unfortunatly i used to have too much faith in people to be honest but those daysare over, my grow is at a secret location now no where near my house, inside and no one but me and the guy whos house its at know about it (after getting jacked i cant even think about growing here again. too much risk for me and my family. all i need is a couple of fuck heads running up in my house with some shotguns over some buds)
 
well i guess heres the post that matches the title....

bought 2 new HPS bulbs thinking mine was blown and ballast wouldnt fire either of them so looks like i need a new ballast, can still use the one i have for a flower ent later down the ling but im thinking im going to go for a cheapo DIY magnetic ballast kit for like 40 bucks, with the stuff i have now could have it up and running with hood for just 40 bucks.

laid that plant down on its side and it wasnt doing do great so for now im going to just get it back outside (in a different location than my previous gro i grew for someone else) and let mothernature finish what she can.

the yellow bucket is the GO nutes i just got,, mixed up 5 gal and some molasses, added a little fresh castings for microbes and will use it to feed for next couple weeks.

some seedlings started and one clone has roots starting, tried to pic it but was a lost cause....

well if anyone cares i popped 2 blue cheese beans 2 days ago, waiting on them to break soil now. other than that all is the same

this will give me 3x blue cheese
1x fruity chronic juice (which is doing great BTW)
and 1 random bagseed i prob got from a hermie

i have a few clones going and so far so good have 1 that will have some nice roots to pic soon, it does leak but im just dealing with that by adding more water when necessary and soaking it up with a towel
 
going to head over to the garden today i think and get some work done. i need to get this cloner to stop leaking and i want to construct a way to easily take a smaple of the water. also want to take some remaining PVC pipe and some of my ez clone sprayers and setup a small aero and probabally get a bagseed into it. wishing i bought some more net pots but i just found out theres a hydro store much closer to me than the 110 mile drive to the one i went to last time.
 
Hey Matt (you too ottawa)! It's been awhile. How you fellas doing? Sorry to hear you got licked dude, that's super shitty. Especially if it was someone you trusted. I have made my return to RIU, but not to growing.....yet. had to move to an apartment and I'm a bit too paranoid to get it going again. Extremely disappointing considering the success I had the first go round. I'll be quietly following you guys until whenever I get one going again. Hope all is well(aside from the theft)!
 
Good to see you around Loyalty.. I probably won't be starting anything either for another month or so.. and I bought a smaller tent to run a single 250w..

Good news is I had great success with my outdoor growing soil mix so I'll be running that inside now with the odd teas (I've gotten rid of all my bottled nutes) seems like the way to go for the way I want to grow. I'll be sure to start a journal once I get started.
