Your plants will "grow" more, but they won't be done any faster.
I understand the time spent in flowering is based on genetics and increasing the wattage wont affect that, I guess im trying to figure out if I will notice an increase in their growth rate on a daily basis since ive added more lighting. With my last grow the colas grew much more in the final week or two before harvest so im wondering if that short growth spurt will be more intense or if the buds will continually grow at a faster rate until harvest. Thanks for the input!

you got the 600 though surfer look up the distance to lumen chart you gain thousands of lumen's every inch that the bulb gets closer to the canopy if I were you I would just get the light cooler n drop it closer rather then drop money into another light unless you were planning on a veg/flower room after this harvest haha :P

Ive thought about moving the light closer to the plants but right now im trying to keep my temps below 76 to encourage the purple dragon to turn bright purple (and maybe the cheese also? Im not sure whether a non-purple strain is able to purple, anybody know?). The lights were also free, my friend just harvested and is unable to start his next grow for a month or more so it works out nice for me haha. It would also be pretty nice to have the lights for a veg room after this harvest for sure! I could even get a perpetual grow started.

a non purp strain will get a lil purp from the cold, but theri is no reason to do this as it does nothing for the plant except mabye slow the growth down cuz the cold.

Generally if a non purple strain is turning purpleit usually means some type of deficiency in the plant I read that somewhere a while back so don't quote me on it

Good call! I like that they can get closer to the plants than the MH can so the tops of my nugs should be killer. Whats your set up?

UPDATES! Well I just started using beastie blooms today (hoping they get really beefy after the next week or two) and have started watering more periodically as I think they were minorly underwatered. Theyre really starting to smell good though, the purple dragon especially. It really has that heavy dank and fruity "purple" smell so im really happy about that! The purple dragon also has the heaviet trichrome production and has completely covered the buds top to bottom (I got a really good pic of a fan leave) Another thing im stoked on is the buds are starting to cover the stems so hopefully meaning they'll be filling out thick. Heres some pics I took earlier today hope you enjoy!

In a couple weeks that cheese is gonna STINK up the place. My mate had some cheese a while ago and double wrapped it but it still stank up the whole house, crazy.

Took a few pics today of the Cheese and purple dragon and things are looking pretty good! The purple dragon is definitely looking and smelling the best, I cant believe how fast its producing trichromes and weight hopefully itll give me some killer smoke! I also harvested my romulan plants last night and got some decent sized nugs, hopefully the total weight will be over 7oz but only time will tell!

Thanks dapio! I actually let the Romulan grow naturally (wasnt at my house so I couldnt train them) but I do expect a much higher yeild from my cheese than I got from my Romulan. I did let the Romulan veg for just over six weeks and the Cheese was only vegged for 5 so the Romulan may give me more, but the cheese is developing much faster and healthier so im thinking it will be a better producer (mainly because of the LST training in my opinion). If I had let the Cheese veg another week or more I think it would put the romulan to shame in quantity and quality. Are you deciding which method to use for a grow?
