I have a 600W HPS on 8 plants that are 4 days into flowering, how far should the light be above the top of the plants?

Thanks in advance for any replies. :hump:

a good rule of thumb is - put ur hand under the light - if its too hot for ur hand, then it is for the plant - i would try with 18 inches at first and then look to see how ur plants are responding to that - ideally you want it as close as possible without causing any heat stress to the plant - a little bit trail and error will see you good - the closer it is the more penetration it will give your lower branches!

hope this helps dude!

I agree. If you have a cooltube or air cooled reflector you can bring it as close as 6 to 8 inches.
