tent is just a nice way for me to separate my grow from the rest of the apartment, and control smell. next year when im in a house i will be utilizing the entire basement=-P

oh also, adding a 4x8 in december as well. im goin on vacation in a few weeks and dont want to leave too much for the person thats gonna take care of em while im gone.

kk. some quick pics before i start my other journal... made some changes to the reservoir because i got sick of having to cock the lid up to drop water pumps in, and i also did not want to use styrofoam anymore because its not necessarily a permanent solution, as i would always want to just pitch it after a cycle... anyways, i got a water pump to sit in the res with a port to hook up for draining, which will also double for filling up as well... i also threw new stones and airlines as well, which i have airflow valves to connect to the airlines attached to the pump. this time however i trimmed them shorter so there will be no danger of one becoming disconnected and draining my res all over the lady who lives downstairs lol... i dont know if there is a quick connect made that will stop flow if the other is not connected but im gonna look into it. im pretty sure there is because ive used something of the sort when i worked in manufacturing. anyways, i also hooked up my new 600w, and redid the ventilation. everything is looking pretty good, and im ready to go. vegging plants are doing great, fimmed them a lot but apparently i might have nicked some baby fan leaves because some spots where i fimmed the tips are not on the leaves lol. either way, they are growing well and bushy. heres some pics




just gotta hit the grow store now to grab some panda film for the top. shit was easy to set up this reservoir, only needed a paddle bit and a jig saw for the most part. i think im very close to the perfect res for my stuff... anyone has any questions feel free to ask...

You talking about your airlines coming off and syphoning water out the rez.??????Just put a check valve on the airline right after the stones...they sell 'em at petco,petsmart...$1.50..even walmart!!! I use em cause my rez. is off the ground and my air pump is on the ground...that way if the airpump shuts off water doesn't drain back through the airlines to the pump...hope this is what you were talking about....PM me a link to the new journal when you get it runnin.....Your last grow was off the hook....I'll be starting my first ever journal soon-Rocklock and Warlock from seed....Peace!!!

ahh, i wasnt talking about for the airlines, but thanks i totally forgot i could get check valves for em. what i was talking about was a quick connect for the water line, and im looking for something like this:

except im going to build an elevated platform so i can route the plumbing underneath cause i dont like to have to step over shit... also i am designing a doser setup and starting to get pumps and shit together... i have a facility i can use to build this in the works so i wont have to wait so long. its looking like i may be able to begin construction early january, so hopefully by feb i will be bringing clones in...

temps appear to be hovering around 85F in the tent right now... although out of the three different thermometers all @canopy height in there are all reading different shit... i may put a cold air intake from outside on a thermostat if temps are gonna be an issue... ive got a 4" inline i can use for that if needed...

holding steady at 86F, gonna cut a hold in the styrofoam slab my exhaust to outside is in just to bring in outside air which is soon to be cold as fuck since im in michigan... 86 isnt so bad, and i think i can probably get it down to 80 with some tweaking. this shit would not work in summer lol,

put a clone i had in soil in a dixie cup in there before i went to sleep, no signs of heat stress or anything. i figured there wouldnt be since everything i read said it should be fine up to higher 80s without co2, though its not ideal... it will definitely work for me =D

the other plants will probably go in there tonight and start training in teh screen. new journal coming up soon. link will be posted in this journal and my sig =D

Sweet.....Just make sure to check the temps after introducing the clones cause plants will influence the temps and humidity as well.....KEEP GROWIN!!!!!!!

it will work I have grown in 85 before but your growth is slower overall and you can even get a longer flower time...I love the new setup looks good..you could try another fan..it works a lot better if you have one fan pushing and also one pulling thru the lights...I just use a cheap booster fan for push and pull with a big expensive hydrofarm fan for my lights..or atleast try to switch your fan up and see how it works on the other end.

either way you'll be good now that we are getting some coldass air... 85 works...over 85 i have seen problems.

yea i can keep the temp around 80F with ease if the tents doors are open, so i think im just gonna leave em open and shut the door to the room... its pitch black in there with the door closed as i have the windows blacked out. realistically i could have just grew them outside of the tent, but i like the tent because the framework gives me something to hang lights and shit from without me having to build anything else...
