600w 2x4 SOG Afgooie Box Grow - Bitches

Pulling up a comfy chair for this one. Im not doing a SOG and hadn't REALLY considered it until now. I'm just gonna sit back and take notes for now. Thanks, I'll be in the back smoking . . . who's turn is it to roll one?

So shit has been rolling along just fine. The sativa looking ones are starting to put out a smell. Its great. It is slightly citrus-y with sort of a sugary hashy smell. I am not getting to much from the smaller indica ones. After looking at all of this I am going to go ahead and stick with my pound guess. I am an optimist after all. hahaha.
BAMMMMMMM!

you're tired of RIU's bullshit as well?
Ya, I lost my shit yesterday. I am better now. lol.

In other news I started using Grotek Pro-Silicate a week a ago. The difference is obvious in the leaves. They have a real nice shine to them now. Any of you guys use this stuff? It was recommended by a friend.

I used Dyna-Gro's silica solution in my last hydroponic grow. Was never sure if it made a difference, because I started out using it from the start!! if you're getting those results with yours, I might try mine out in my current soil grow.

by the way, have you dropped by my thread?? it's the current link in my signature. seeds turned to sprouts just today!!

Are you foliar feeding or watering? Or both?

I will only bottom feed with the stuff. After reading over this post before posting i decided to separate this paranoid rant from my response so it would not seem directed at anyone. lol.

I am paranoid about Silicosis. I know that the stuff that the plant uses is Soluble Potash derived from potassium silicate. I am frightened of the bold "CONTAINS NON-PLANT FOOD INGREDIENT:"-warning that stated it contains "2% Silicon (Si)" ...like the shit you dont want to smoke. I can't see how they could recommend foliar still? I am new to Silica, so i may be way the fuck off on this. If anyone can explain I really would like to get to the bottom of this. lol.

Sorry man. i don't think I ever hit the subscribe button or I fucked it up or something. Subscribed again or for the first time or whatever. lol.

Just started week 5. I can't wait for them to finish.

I hear that man just started week 4, 5 more to go cant wait. These are the weeks that go buy super fast because of the holidays so we will be choping before we know it.

Do you buy clones or have a mother that you cut from ?? Was debating on whens a good time to take cuttings/clones so they would be ready by the end of the current grow. My guess was at least two weeks before harvest.

when i started my seedlings last grow, they STREEEETCHED and were starting to get weak (i was a noob). so the guy at my hydro shop recommended silica solution, won't stop the stretch, but it will keep them from falling over. i told him i had started "Heirloom tomatoes" from seed, and he made it very clear, use it as foliar spray until you see "tomatoes" stop spraying once you see "tomatoes" haha. it was trip to see the look on his face and know what he and i both meant. digressing!!!

foliar feed is bad for silica solutions, which you may have already figured on your own. but the advice not to comes straight from my guy at the grow shop. he has yet to steer me wrong.

hope that helps!!

I, also cannot wait for the chop. Very soon...

I had mothers for these plants but I gave them to a buddy who had a freak out and threw them away. lol. I am starting my new mothers today. Heavy Duty Fruity by THSeeds. They say that they like to grow 20 to 30 per square meter and I figured I could put them to good use. lol. Pics to come on that. If anyone has any experience with this strain PLEASE hit me back.

What is customary in a grow journal; continuing your next grow in the same thread or starting a new thread? I am undecided but leaning towards same thread option.

I am subscribed to see the end! :)

~I like to just continue in the same thread for my journal... I just like the idea of it all in one spot... :)

I prefer to see a journal that provides the story of how a seed becomes cronic. A link to all of your journals in your signature will allow everyone that really follows you to follow along. A lot of times it's the story of how we built our greenhouse also, but it's still in stages. That's my .02
