600 watt HPS vs 90 watt 630 nm red UFO LED

HI all,
I have been having difficulty finding results for this comparison. So if any1 has compared these LED's to their 600 watt HPS please feel free to chime in.

Id say there isnt much to compare. 600w hps will eat a 90w ufo led

This I'll ask you and any1 else. Lets say 2 90 watt 630 nm reds vs 600 watt HPS?

Im an Led guy and will tell you that 90w wont come close. Even 2 ufos wont be close. I have 2 126w panels that i think compare to my 400w hps just to give you an idea.

Figure on one 90 watt UFO per 2-3' plant, if you want to see decent results.

I have experience with both. I used the 63 nm reds @ 90 wt. I tried them for a couple months but thought they were crap. Dont get me wrong, they work and theyre less costly to use. However, growth is minimal and equivalant to flouro's. In comparison the 600 wt HD cost more to run but the growth is nearly tripled in veg. There is no comparison in bloom. The 600's bud were enormous in comparison in size and weight.

Only have the one plant on the grow,but the 50W red and blue LED appears to be doing it's job fine.
