600 Watt HPS Grow Room (My Main Thread)

Either way works. I'm not sure how far you can keep it away. Best way to find out is to run the setup for a couple of hours. Get an idea of the temp near the bucket. I usually keep my light as high as it can get because I don't really care to move it up and down everyday. I really haven't noticed a difference really. Every time I setup, I do a dry run for a few hours to a couple of days. Get an idea of how hot/cool it will be in the tent. I also run the waterfarm to get all that hydroton dust off, it will up the pH a bit. You should boil them to sterilize them.
I was thinking about keeping the light at the top of the tent and setting up the screen to be about 6-9" from the top of the WaterFarm to allow me to get under there to be able to clean it up when in flowering. Now if I wanted to add an air stone, do I drill a hole in the bottom bucket or the top bucket?

You can either drill a hole in the bottom bucket(above the waterline!) or run it through the tube that feeds the drip ring. Don't drill a hole in the top bucket. However do this to the top bucket, drill as many 1/4" holes as you can but be careful to not drill too many or you'll jeopardize the structural integrity of it and it'll collapse with all the hydroton and roots in it.

As far as the highlighted red circle. Crazy glue this piece to the tube. The plastic hose that connects to it tends to clog from salt build up and fishing it out of the res in the middle of flower with a scrog screen isn't fun. Believe me I know. Not the big tube that requires no work really, the smaller tube that goes in it that's the one I'm talking about.

Okay, I took your advise and added some more holes and here is a close up of the scrog screen, now which side should I use as the top or does it even matter?

This is how I store my seeds.

I figured the best way was to keep them is in the bags they came in and same thing I got my meds in.

Here is a image of what the WaterFarm Kit looks like while its running just so that some people will have an understanding of how the system works.

When I run the system I will be using a commercial pump and the timer schedule based by GH of: 30min ON | 1hr OFF while the light is ON and of course OFF when the light is OFF.

I have often wondered how they work - I suppose the roots get into the bottom bucket do they?

You could build one for half the price and learn something at the same time. It's nice to just buy a kit, but they are a rip as soon as you see how they work and how easy it would have been to build the same thing.

i could build the same but i like everything to match perfectly.

is like having the perfect garage with every tool in its place and spotless.

Is that big enough? I'm going to scrog next grow and I got 2inch - Do you think I've gone too big?
Not sure, this is my first screen and people were telling me just to make sure that the holes were at least an 1" apart. But then, I could be wrong.

I agree, I have built so many systems but there is nothing like running matching equipment.

Suppose it's no stress as you could make the holes bigger if need be and I could make mine smaller with a little squeeze.

Honestly, you're right but waterfarms are really cheap. For 60 bucks you get everything you need and it's of really great quality.
