Great scrog grow, cant wait to see what you yield. Why you have to pull early, she does look like she could go a lil longer? But she still looks frosty and delicious.

Yeah its a shame, but I'm a college student and the parentals are coming into town this weekend and plan on stopping by the house, so I need the smell to be gone by Saturday. They both know I smoke and my dad actually has smoked with me on many occasions and even grew on a farm with some buddies his senior year in college.... but that was in the 70s and I don't think they would be too happy to know that I've been growing the past 2 years and potentially jeopardizing my college future. A marijuana charge here nowadays means kiss school goodbye for at least a year.

So.... I figure if I chop Thursday night and put the buds in the attic to dry the smell downstairs should be fine by Saturday. I would have really like another 2 weeks to ideally finish, even one more week would have been nice, but it is what it is...

...and besides, the next blackskull pepperjack haze is already 8 days old, in my new waterfarm, and waiting to move into the grow tent after the current plant is done and the rents are gone. I plan on scrogging her again but this time to fit the tent so that I can actually close the doors to the tent and smell proof my grow with my homemade carbon filter. I just need to buy a cooltube, as when I tried running the light with the tent sealed off the temperatures hit 115. But on a good note, the current plant went into the dark this afternoon for the next 3 days to finish up, and I can take advantage of not having any heat to seal the tent and test my carbon filter. And voila!...my homemade carbon filter is working perfectly. My room still smells a bit, but the entire rest of the house has no smell after one day with the carbon filter running.

So all is looking good for this next grow around, in which I plan on having better conditions, better equipment, no sketch ass smell, and a longer flowering time. Hopefully that will mean higher yields as well.

UPDATE: Harvest! 553 grams wet!

So I harvested Thursday afternoon and my one pepperjack haze plant yielded 553 grams of wet dankness. I got an entire gram of hash off of just the scissors I used for the trimming (which took almost 5 hours with 2 people working). So after the dry is finished I'm hoping to get between 4.5 and 5 ounces dry. The bud is super crystally and looks incredible. I have pictures of the harvest but my camera is out of batteries at the moment. Should have them up by tomorrow. Also the dry should be done in the next day or so as well. Then I'll post a dry weight and start a nice long cure.

Sorry to anyone who has been waiting for me to upload pictures of the harvest, its been a crazy busy week, not to mention that my mind has been mostly erased by the brownies I made last weekend. Almost 4 grams of trim in each brownie = spun....I haven't really been on point lately, but I will post pictures tonight when I get a chance...gotta go to work now. But for anyone who is curious, the final dry weight was 127 grams, so I got just over 4.5 oz dry off of my one plant. I'm quite pleased with the product.

I know the wait has been killing you all, but I finally got my shit together and found the time to update with the pictures. For about 2 weeks now I've been talking about it and saying I was going to post pics the next day...but I've got a lot of weed and I haven't been on level ground for a few weeks now.

But anyways, I harvested 553 grams wet and that turned into about 4.5 ounces dry. I was hoping for a better wet/dry ratio as well as a higher yield in general, but as I said I had to pull about 1-2 weeks early so the bud was a bit fluffier than I would have liked, but it gave the bud a really nice racey head high, which is honestly what I like and what I wanted from a sativa based strain like a haze. So I'm very happy.

In addition to the 4.5 oz of bud I also got about 200 grams (wet) of trim and little popcorn nuggets (about 2 oz dry) which I froze, blended, and then cooked in a crock pot with 1.5 cups of oil for 24 hours. I then made 2 batches of brownies with 9 brownies each, or about 3 grams to each brownie....and boy let me tell ya, I haven't been that high since I first smoked bud freshman year in high school and geeked the fuck out. My buddies girlfriend ate one bite of a brownie, maybe a fifth of a brownie, and said she was high as shit for almost 6 hours. So needless to say when my buddy and I each ate a brownie we were in full zombie mode from about 5 pm till we went to sleep that night. I actually woke up the next morning hung over...or still baked...or something. All I know is my mind was off the next morning.Had one guy who bought 4 brownies and I guess he didn't believe me about the potency. He called me the next day and said he had eaten 3 brownies last night before going out, and about 2 hours later he had the spins and actually got sick from being too fucked up and dizzy...I think he learned his lesson about edibles....they can kick your ass if you make em potent enough. I think next time I'll go with 2/3 or 3/4 of an ounce to each tray rather than an ounce...these were a little too potent. I loved them but they were too intense for some people to enjoy....amateurs

So in addition to the harvest pics I wanted to post these pictures of the final nugget. This bud is fantastic. After 2 weeks curing now the bud has really developed a great spicy aroma as promised and I am amazed by how smooth the smoke is. Every day the bud cured the smoke got smoother and smoother and its made for a great smoke. The bud has a fast onset and nice racey head high that goes and goes....but if you've got any big plans cancel em, because this is not your typical energetic head high, its more of a mindfuck type of head trip that really leaves you just floating...I like to think of it as feeling like I just smoked the nugget from half baked that makes the dog fly....you feel upbeat and energetic, but your mind is so gone that you really can't do much but just drift around aimlessly.

great grow and nice buds.....the edible story was hilarious...i also make my own edibles and they all was turn out great...i first started out making butter but the oil is just so much cleaner and easier and is much easier to use...sometimes i order pizza and sprinkle a little oil on top, a teaspoon of oil in the blender when making smoothie, homemade salad dressings,grilling onions for a burger.....im sure you know what i mean

I would like to start by thanking all of you who followed along with this grow, I appreciate it and I hope you enjoyed the ride...but all good things must come to an end. Fortunately, new things have also begun and another round is under way. So I thought I would post this in this journal so that anyone who is interested can follow my next grow.

My next Blackskull Pepperjack Haze plant just showed its first preflowers today and its a girl. She is currently 4 weeks old and looks much healthier and happier than my last plant did at this point. Its also has tighter node spacing and better branching, so I'm optimistic about this grow.

I will once again be doing a scrog but this time I will be 100% hydroponic with the DWC method instead of soil/hempy combo. I have also gotten my temps and pH under control and have a much better feeding schedule set up. I will also be vegging for an extra week and flowering for an extra two weeks. This time i'm gunnin for a half elbow....

single bucket buubler, the most fun you will have growing in my opinion, seriously. Start looking at cloning too, that way you will always know what it is! My pepperjack haze is looking nice, but not as nice as yours. I will get you some pics if you want to check it?

I know I'm very excited about this waterfarm grow, the plant seems to love it so far and my foliage appears more healthy than last go around.

I would love to see some pics of the PJ haze if you have any.
