600 watt 30 plant pheno humt

I need help I plan on popping
3 packs of seeds
10 regs each (NO Fems )
Hopefully I get around 16 females or 20 who knows what
What size pots would you recommend to finish flower in I seen a few 16 plant in 2 gals or would you recommend 1 gals in a 4x4
How long should I veg as I will need clones from all Females and i will keep all clones until I get a finshed smoke report I see alot of people end up killing the clones of great plants
I will keep slow growing runts too
Everyone deserves a chance

A few things to add

. It's easy to grow 'runts' in the corner of your room/tent, I just wouldn't prioritize them under the lights.

I wouldn't pop so many. Unless you wanna do a SOG type grow, I think it would be better to grow a couple big plants rather than a bunch small ones.

Should have gotten some fem.Maybe just 1 pack reg.

If you wanna see something cool, search for re veg and try that...I did it once. Came out with 3 main heads. Sadly I lost her before I could flower. Nor did I get pictures
(((. It was awesome to see her go from nub to beauty. Took virtually no effort.

Maybe you can germ five of each and veg for 6-8 weeks. That'll give you time to see the phenos and get them to a nice size to get some quality clones from along with a good amount of bud to test and still have seeds as well for just in case. You can finish in 3 or 5 gallon pots with that veg time. I germed two of each of the strains I'm running now and I ended up fifty fifty female/male with the exception of one true hermaphrodite. Pheno hunting can be intense. I'd recommend vegging until you sex the plants. That way you don't take unnecessary clones or risk making your own seeds. Once you toss the males take your clones and flip the ladies. Personally I'd recommend running each pheno more than once (that girl that was ugly as a kid sometimes turns out to be a bad one when we grow up). I'd agree with the others scale back a bit and get a hang on it or you'll be losing a few good ones too. Good luck! Stay faded.

Thanks for the reply I don't want to pop so many seeds but I want to find a good pheno of the 3 strains , why would you recommend Fems personaly I hate them and prefer regs I don't want to do SOG but i want to pheno hunt I may just put the runts in the corner but I rarely have gotten runts

Thanks for the reply I would love to grow bigger plants maybe next grow but i want to see a good representation of the strains and i want a quick harvest
If I could do a sea of green that would be perfect I don't want to deal with 30 plants though

I recently saw a 30 plant 600 watt that made me consider this they did a short 3 week veg and got over a Pound and pheno hunted at the same time , I usually cam tell my plants sex by 8 inches
For some reason I found male plants are the first to germ and i been 95% right so far on sexing before plants even show sex I have seen 600 watt 16 plant grows with 2 gals would that be good for a 4x4

And as far as the fem thing, if you aren't breeding I don't see a need for male plants. Maybe there is benefit I don't know about though.

Alot of people I know prefer regs people say Fems mess up the cannabis gene pool and i agree
I have grow 2 fem seeds and one turned hermie and one male
I will keep a male clone around if he is a stud

15 plants finishing in 2 gallon pots vegged for 3 weeks sounds like a good start for you. You should get a nice yield hopefully from atleast 7/8 plants and a good look at the phenos. You plan on starting a journal? I'd sub to see your progress.

I agree with you on regs. I prefer them over fems except when I get freebies. No need for a free male.

Thanks I plan on starting my journal the beginning of may I just joined the site today I have grew cannabis before a few times but I stopped for about a year
I plan on growing 30 plants maybe veg In 1 gal till sex then choose 15 females and transplant to one gal
What strains are you running I known people don't like greenpoint seeds GU the owner of greenpointseeds even blocked me for questioning his genetics
but I seen some good stardawg crosses
I have 10Trifi x stardawg
10 Kurple fantasy x stardawg
11 White master kush x stardawg
and some other crosses
I was thinking of doing the Kurple fantasy x stardawg and white master kush stardawg And picking up some dungeon fault gentics Foul mouth or false teeth
So 10 kurple fantasy
10 white master kush x stardawg
10 Foul mouth if I can't find and I'll pop 10 false teeth
30 seeds total
I want something New to smoke and unique that's why I'm pheno hunting
I will probably pop my trifi x stardawg after too

that cross probaly has some amazing keepers

I'm not familiar with that breeder you mentioned, but I'm reading up on breeders now both current and past.

You have some interesting genetics in your stash, I hope you find a few keepers.

The breeder is greenpint seeds for the stardawg crosses
I can't really think of any other breeders atm I recommend
Dungeon vault gentics has the foul mouth and false teeth both are cookie lines are cookie crosses I haven't grown greenpoint seeds or dungeon
I would recommend Dungeon vault genetics if you want some purple or cookie genetics he has ogbk crosses that
I recommend bodhi seeds also
I can't really recommend greenpoint seeds he has a stolen stardawg cut that he had no permission to breed with that's just bad business to me but he has some dank in his stardawg crosses though

Cool, thanks for the summary on greenpoint. I'm currently running alot of ACE seeds gear since they carry alot of landrace genetics along with world of seeds, seeds of Africa, and seedsman. Sensi seeds seems to be alright. The only breeder's gear I'm having trouble starting is DJ Short's grape krush. The Dr Grinspoon is Barney's farm, my first time growing their gear. ILGM represented by Robert Bergman was the first seeds I ran and I was satisfied with the results.

I've been wanting to grow some landarace strains the kurple fantasy cross is (Pakistani chitaral kush X 92 og ) so it has some landarce gentics so it interested me I haven't ran any breeders you mentioned though

I have some Pakistan Chitral kush going now. Popped two beans and one is a true hermaphrodite. I love the color of the buds on the hermie. It's a very deep purple. The other one has just started flowering. I'm into landrace genetics for breeding purposes as well as finally tasting unique strains.

I have seen a few Pakistani chitaral kush grows and they looked good I have seen a few herms , This pheno hunt is gonna be under a 1000 watt since I just bought one today from some hippes who said a buddys grow shutdown and the had pretty much everything for a grow in bulk and was selling stuff cheap
I got a switchable magnetic mh / hps 1000 watt ballast and a sun system parabolic good for 80 bucks
They had brand new 1000 watt lumateks for 100 but i choose something else
I should've asked them for some weed they looked like true stoners lol

This is solid advice and pretty much what i do with new seeds. I got a 400 watt tester tent. Everything gets ran in there at least once if its a cut and alot of times i run clones from each female in a seed pack more than once before going in the rotation rooms and in the lineup of my stable. With seed packs 75% to 80% do not make the the grade.

That's a good score. I'm definitely keeping an eye on her and the bubblegum which I was advised by another member that it also may hermie or spit nanners.

Yeah tester tents with there own thing going on away from the main veg and bloom rooms is invaluable to me....being a perpetual grower where something is being chopped and a spot filled....cuts being taken constantly...(iam a caregiver with picky patients that need meds all the time) i cannot afford to have a hermi or a pm or mite infected cut or seed plant blowing out my operation. With perpetual it would ruin me. It takes a long time to get perpetual setups running smooth with really good selection and variety.
