Hey guys,
I am running a 60)W hortiluz eye bulb with a lumatek 600w ballast in a hydrofarm air-cooled hood.
I have been running my new bulb for about a week now, and just noticed something unsettling the past three days.
I am running my veg room at 24/0, and when I wake up in the morning(usually around 6-630), I noticed the light ahs gone off. The ballast is slightly warmn, but has adequate airflow alla round it.
I unplug my ballast, plug it back in, and the light turns on.
I know there can be compatability issues with the Eye Hortiluz and Lumatek Ballast, spec the 600W, but I am heasded to the hydro store today and wanted a definitive answer. Should I replace the bulb or the ballast? My reasoning tells me to replace the bulb and see what happens. Normally I have two bulbs for situations just like this, but wa friend is borrowing it now. Any thoughts or suggestions?
