600 HPS Growroom.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I see that it has a lot of information that I've been looking for but haven't found everything. I have just built a growbox that is 3'6 x 4 x 6 with a 600 HPS lamp. I've got everything and now thanks to this website, an idea of my very own Carbon Filter, I would like to know if its worth it to buy non-IR detectable shield (polyshield) for an operation that small. I live in California, near san mateo.. I'm not too sure if they even have IR detection since in San Francisco it's so commonly used with all their cannabis clubs and such. Please let me know soon, my seedlings are growing nice

you can never be too safe, buti wouldn't worry about the IR blockers unless your town is known for busting grows with IR. can you still fish off the san mateo bridge or have they finally condemned that bridge, been years since i've been in the area.

no u don't have to waste money on that. ir isn;t a radar gun, it can only detect heat on outer walls of the home. just dont tell anyone and u will be fine.

Also, to use infrared on your home, they must get a warrant *first* (if you're in the U.S., which you are). And if they *already* have a warrant, they aren't going to waste money on an IR flight; they'll just pull up in five squad cars, knock your door in, and tear your house apart. Much more fun for them that way.
