600 + 400 = 1000?

Does an air cooled 600w combined with a wing 400w equal the heat a 1000w air cooled would put out? I'D think it would be less...

with a cooltube 600w AND 400w wing in same tent I'm peaking at 77 at the canopy. And that's with the probe getting direct light!


How high do they need to be so I don't light burn my girls?

here is a chart that may help. as far as giving you a set distance, i think that can very depending on the reflector or hood used or without a reflector. even the type or bulb or how old it is will affect the distance.

so I should go by the 1000w now as 400w = 50000 and 600w = 90000?

idk i have only used 400's myself but i beleive the 600 watt is the most efficient as far as lumens per watt.

someday i will upgrade to a couple 600's but for now the 400's work for me.
